こんばんは。ヤンゴン在住・つっちゃんです。
腹を壊しました。で、日本にいる嫁に話をしたところ病院にいったほうがいいと。ということで昨日行ってきました。こちらでは会社が契約している外人向けの病院があるのでそこに行って診察してもらったところ、「薬飲んで様子を見ろ」と。で、処方してもらったのが飲み薬２種類と・・・、ポカリスエット
。「1日3回、２日間分だしときます」ということで６本頂きました・・・
。
さて、今日はこの曲。とっても爽やかなロックソング。

この曲はBillboard誌で1984年3月に最高13位を記録、彼の8thアルバム「Windows And Walls」からの1stシングルでした。
USアーティストらしく、力強くかつ爽やかなロックソング。曲のリズムやメロディ、Danの声などが好きだったんだけど、当時日本ではあまり受けなかったのか、ベストヒットUSAとかで数秒の曲紹介のみで、あまり日本では聴かなかったような気がします
。ほんといい曲なんだけどなぁ
PVはシンプルな演奏ビデオ。ヒゲ面Danが少しBob Segerを思い起こさせるかな。この真っ白なスタジオ、白い衣装で演奏しているの、なんとなくうっすらと覚えてます。で、今見返すとどうしても空手着を着たBassが気になる・・・
。彼はJediか？
最近まで彼の曲はこの曲しか知らなかったんだけど、InterFMの「Lazy Sunday」というラジオ番組でDJのGeorgeさんが時々Danの曲をかけてくれます。「Longer」とか「Part Of The Plan」とか。これらもいい曲っす。毎週日曜11:00AMからInter FMでやっているので、是非。オススメっす

This song got No.13 on Billboard Magazine in March of 1984. It was 1st single from his 8th album “Windows And Walls”.
As other US artists, it was powerful and delightful american rock song. I liked its rhythm, melody and his voice, however this song did not become major hit. So it is hard to listen to this song in TV program.
The band which members were playing with white clothes in white studio. It was very impressive for me. One thing I become curious is that Bass player was wearing Karate uniform like a Luke Skywaker… Was he Jedi??
Typical good american rock, try this song.
