ヤンゴン・レストラン事情。今日はダウンタウンにあるミャンマーの麺料理屋、「999」。ここのシャン・ヌードルは絶品です。鶏ガラスープにガーリックチップが入った米麺。いや、まぢ美味いっす。この前来た家族たちも、ここのヌードルは絶賛でした
。
さて、今日はこの曲。とってもおしゃれ感タップリな一曲。

この曲はBillboard誌で1984年6月に最高29位を記録。彼らの1stアルバム「Café Bleu」からの1stシングルでした。
Vo.のPaul WellerはMods代表・The Jamで活躍した、とっても色気があってお洒落でカッコいい人、相方のMick Talbotは元Dexys Midnight Runners, Back Vo.はWham!でもBackを演っていた元Paulの奥様Dee C. Lee
当時、他のヒット曲とはちょっと違って、かなり異色、とってもおしゃれ感満載、爽やかな曲だったので、強烈に覚えてます。UKなのに出しゃばらないシンセ、ギターやホーンの生音がとっても心地よいんですよね。晴れた日曜のお昼にオープンカフェで聴きたい感じ（完全なる妄想ですが）
。
アルバムジャケもロングコートを着た2人がブルーモノクロで写っていて、とてもお洒落な感じです。

Yangon Restaurant now. Let me introduce you good Myanmar noodle house in down town. Its name is 999. 999 serves Myanmar foods and every foods are good, especially Shan Noodle is special. Its soup is made chicken and fried garlic chips are inside. My family also love this noodle.

This song got No.29 on Billboard Magazine in June of 1984. It was 1st single from their 1st album “Café Bleu”.
Paul Weller who was the singer of this band, was the member of Mods band, The Jam. He is sexy, dandy and cool artist. The other hands, Mick Talbot came from Dexys Midnight Runners, and back chorus lady is Dee C. Lee who sang at the back of Wham! and she was ex. wife of Paul.
I remember well and listened over and over because there were differences between this song and other hit songs. This song was fancy and breezy. Natural sound of guitar and horn were very comfortable. It made me listen on Sunday noon.
On sunny Sunday, try this song.
