こんばんは。ヤンゴン在住・つっちゃんです。
ヤンゴン市内を走るバスがYBSに統一されましたが、かなり混乱を呼んでます。「この前まで500路線あったけど誰もがどのバスがどこに行くか知ってたけど、いま100路線以下に少なくなったけど誰もどのバスがどこに行くのかわからない」と嘆いてました・・・。
さて、今日はこの曲。80年代というと必ず出てきます。
「Cyndi Lauper / Girls Just Want To Have Fun」
邦題は「ハイ・スクールはダンステリア」。この曲はBillboard誌で1984年3月に2週間、最高2位を記録しました。彼女の1st Album「She’s So Unusual」（邦題：N.Y.ダンステリア）からの1stシングル。
もうこの曲はモーレツにかかってましたね、あちこちで。初めて彼女を見た時、「なんだこのケバいのは！」と強烈に印象深いです。彼女の金切り声もとってもキョーレツ。パンチ
があります。ティーンエイジャー女子向けの曲って感じだけど、Pearl JamやJohn Mayerもカバーしてるとか
彼女、当時はMadonnaとよく比べられてたのを思い出します。Madonnaの方がビッグネームになっちゃったけど、Madonnaの曲でCyndiのこの曲みたいに歌い継がれてる曲ってあるかなぁ・・・
PVはMTV時代を代表するビデオと言っても過言なし。とても奇抜なんだけど、高一男子が見てもかわいらしいと思うビデオ。父親に指さされて叱られてる時のCyndiの顔がおとぼけ顔でいいんすよ。実の母親も母親役で登場してたと小林克也さんが教えてれました。
あ、あと彼女の人柄。3.11の大震災の後に日本に来てましたよね。あとこんなことも。本当に良い人

This song got 2 weeks No.2 on Billboard Magazine in March of 1984. It was 1st single from her 1st album “She’s So Unusual”.
In 1984, this song was played so many times. I could listened in everywhere, every time. When I saw her I felt “What!? She is so unusual”. Her high tone voice was also very impressive. I think this song was for teenager girl, however male rock artists like Pearl Jam and John Mayer also cover this.
At that time, she was always compared with Madonna. Now Madonna becomes big name more than Cyndi, however I’m not sure if Madonna has the song like this song which many artists cover.
I can say this video was one of most famous music video of 1984. I, 15 years old boy thought this video was very cute. I love her funny face at the scene she got scorched by father. Her real mother also appeared.
It’s very fun, try this song.
