ヤンゴンのお土産事情。一番のお土産やは以前ご紹介したボージョマーケット。典型的な観光客向けのお土産やで、広い体育館にお店が数百入ってる感じの場所です。ミャンマー特産の翡翠、ミャンマー衣装やグッズがメインの売り物ですー。
さて、今日はこの曲。もはやプログレじゃないけどとても綺麗なバラード曲。
「Asia / The Smile Has Left Your Eyes」
邦題は「偽りの微笑み」。この曲はBillboard誌で1983年11月に最高34位を記録。彼らの2nd Album「Alpha」からの「Don’t Cry」に続く2ndシングル。
もはやプログレじゃないんだけど、良い曲なんですよ、これが。出だしのシンセが柔らかく、でもってちょっと壮大で、やはり彼ららしくドラマチックな展開
ビッグヒットではなかったのですが、ちょいちょいTVでこのPVが流れてました。映画のスクリーンを見ながら演奏してるんですが、なんかものすごく悲しい物語系の映画・・・
。
とても切ないメロディー、まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

This sogn got No.34 on Billboard Magazine in Nov of 1983. It was 2nd single from their 2nd album “Alpha”.
It was not progressive rock, but it was beautiful. Started with very silky synthesizer sound and it was very dramatic.
It was not big hit song however I could see its video on TV sometimes. They played with sad movie.
It had very very sad mood, try this song.
