ミャンマーのトイレ事情。驚くことなかれ、今までのトイレはペーパなし。和式に似た便器の横に水の入ったバケツと桶があるのみ。この使い方は想像にお任せします・・・
さて、今日はこの曲で行ってみましょうか。Doobieでギター弾いてました。

この曲はBillboard誌で1983年5月に最高30位を記録しました。ご存知West Coast Soundの筆頭、The Doobie Brothersのギタリストで、1982年に一旦Doobieが解散した後にリリースされた彼の初ソロアルバムからのスマッシュヒットです。
軽快なギターサウンドはMichael McDonald加入前のDoobieを彷彿とさせるんだけど、時代の流行だったせいかシンセ使ってます。が、しかし。シンセの音が彼には馴染まないっすねぇ・・・
。
どちらかと言うと私にとってこの曲はミュートマでPVが流れてたので覚えてるって感じっす。モノクロのビデオと「ソーロング、ソーロング」ってサビの部分が頭の中に残ってますな
後々Doobieの大ファンになったのですが、彼が歌っているBlack WaterとかSouth City Midnight Ladyと比べるとちょっと残念感ありかな。やはりDoobieのPatrickがいいのです

Well, let’s move to today’s song. He played the guitar as the member of The Doobie Brothers.

This song got No.30 on Billboard Magazine in May of 1983. As you know, he is the guitarist of The Doobie Brothers. After breaking up, he released 1st solo album “Arcade” included this song.
It is easy to remind me Doobie’s sounds, however I think synthesizer sound is not much with his song.
The reason why I remember this song is its video was played over and over on Japanese TV. And also chorus part was very easy to understand for me.
I became the big fan of The Doobie, and it mede me know Patrick wrote “Black Water” and “South City Midnight Lady” and so on. I believe Patrick play in Doobie is best.
Good guitar sound, try it.
