昨日、同僚とチャイティーヨーという場所に行ってきました。以前イってQでイモトアヤコも訪ねたゴールデンロックです。金箔を貼った大きな岩が今にも崖から落ちそうなのですが、仏様パワーでバランス保ってる不思議な岩があります

さて、今日はこの曲。名盤からの2ndシングルです。
この曲はBillboard誌で1983年10月に2週連続で最高3位を記録しました。彼らの5作目にして最後のStudio Album、「Synchronicity」からのUSでの2ndカットです（UKでは4thでありラストカット）。
傑作「Synchronicity」のB面、「Every Breath You Take」に続く2曲目。印象的なピアノと木琴（？）の音から始まり、Stingの声が重なる冒頭がとってもいいです。それとAndyの琴音のようなギターもいいなぁ。
PVはOfficialなものは見た記憶がない・・・。作ってなかったっけ？ で、調べてみたところ作られたけどオーストラリアだけで使われたみたい。このPV、見たような見なかったような・・・
。
木琴の音が心地よいです、まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

I visited Kyai Khti Yo yesterday. there is a big rock called Golden Rock. It is shine with a gold leaf and it’s likely to fall off from the cliffs. According to legend, there are buddha hair at the top of the rock, and this rock keep its balance by buddha power. (to be continued…)
Well, let’s move to today’s song. The 2nd single from the masterpiece.
“ The Police / King Of Pain “
This song got 2 weeks No.3 on Billboard Magazine in October of 1983. Their 5th and last studio album, “Synchronicity” dropped this song. It was 2nd single in US however 4th in UK.
This song was 2nd song of B-side of “Synchronicity”, which appeared after “Every Breath You Take”. It started with impressive a piano and a xylophone sound, then Sting voice cut in. Andy’s guitar sound was similar to Japanese instrument called Koto.
I didn’t see its video…. No official video? According to the article on the net, video was made only for Australia.
