こんばんは。ヤンゴン在中・つっちゃんです。
昨日、小さなヤンゴン国際空港のお話をしましたが、それでもちゃんとラウンジがあります。ただここはミャンマー。成田空港の豪華なそれとは違い、これまたこじんまりとしてます。でもって、サンドイッチとかカップラーメンしかありませぬ・・・
。もう少し充実させようよ。
さて、今日はこの曲。1966年にNo.1になった曲のカバーです。
「Phil Collins / You Can't Hurry Love」
邦題は「恋はあせらず」。この曲はBillboard誌で1983年2月に３週連続で最高10位を記録しました。Diana Rossが在籍したMotownの代表的なグループ、The Supremesの曲ですね。
わかりやすいベースラインから入ってくる、とっても印象的で明るくて、体が自然と動いてしまうような曲。大好きでしたっ。明るい曲調からよくTVとかでも聞くことが多いんじゃないかな。
PVはなかなかオモロイです。たこ八郎のような髪型のPhilがSupremes張りに3人出てきて踊りながら歌う、というシンプルなもの。ただ髪型がね・・・

当時、TVだか雑誌だかで、Diana Rossが「彼が私の曲を盗んだよの」とコメントしてたのをよーくよく覚えてます。いま考えると単なるアメリカンジョークなのですが、そこは純な中三男子。「へぇっ！？、盗んじゃダメじゃん」「ダイアナロスとフィルコリンズって仲わるいんだ！？」って本当に思ってました・・・
。
って、このPVを探してたらNokkoもこの曲を歌ってることが判明。まぢかっ！？
体が自然に跳ねちゃいますが、まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

I told about tiny Yangon International Airport yesterday. It’s tiny but it has a lounge room for the member. But it’s Myanmar. Lounge room is also tiny. It has just only sandwich and cup noodle… I hope it will be more fulfilling… :-)
Well, today’s song is this. It’s cover song of No.1 hit in 1966 by super group.
“ Phil Collins / You Can't Hurry Love “
This song got 3 weeks No.10 on Billboard Magazine in February of 1983. It was the cover song of The Supremes which Diana Ross belonged to and one of the super groups of Motown.
It started with easy understanding Bass sound, and had bright feeling. It made us move and dance. So you may hear this song in everywhere.
Video was so interesting. Three dancing Phill with funny hair style. It was very simple but good and impressive video.
At that time, I heard on TV or some magazines, Diana said “Phil steal my song!!”. I understand it was an American joke, but 15 years old boy thought “Diana and Phil don’t have good friendship!?”…. It was what kid thought…
