ヤンゴンには小さいですがInternational Airportがあります。日本との行き来はこの空港を使うのですが、いかんせん何もない・・・。小さなレストラン1つ。フライト待ち時間が困ります
さて、今日はこの曲。前作を踏襲したドラマティックな一曲。
この曲はBillboard誌で1983年9月に2週間、最高10位を記録しました。彼らの2nd Album「Alpha」からのシングルカットです。
以前ご紹介した「Heat Of The Moment」と似た、ドラマチック＆キャッチーなロックです。ただもう少しポップに、明るくなってる感あり。個人的にはHeatよりこっちの方がよく聴き込んだかなぁ
ジャケがピラミッドを描いているので、PVもそれがベースになってます。Asia探検隊風の作りでDuran Duranの「Hungry Like The Wolf」にちょっと、ちょっとだけ似てます（笑） まぁ、美男子ぶりではDuranの勝ち。で、PVの最後の方で、Carl Palmerが女性にうつつを抜かしてたら黄金の中に突き落とされるシーンをよく覚えてます・・・
しかしピラミッドって、Artistを惹きつける何かがあるのかなぁ・・・。このAsiaの他に、Iron MaidenやEW&F、Pink Floydなどなど。何かあるんでしょうなぁ・・・

Well, today’s song is this. Dramatic song which followed previous album.
“ Asia / Don’t Cry “
This song got 2 weeks No.10 on Billboard Magazine in September of 1983. Single from their 2nd Album, “Alpha”.
This song is similar to “Heat Of The Moment” which I introduced before, and it’s dramatic rock song. However more pop flavor than that song. I like this song more than Heat.
Pyramid was drawn in the album jacket, so this video also followed this concept. It seemed like Asia Expedition, and it was similar to Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like The Wolf”. But Duran member was more beautiful than Asia ;-) At the end part of this video, Carl Palmer was pushed into gold by beautiful lady.
