ミャンマーは仏教国なのでそこかしこにお寺と仏様があります。仏様は座っていたり立っていたり寝ていたりでさまざま。あの映画「ビルマの竪琴」の寝ている仏像も実物が存在してます。
さて、今日はこの曲。NYを感じさせるArtistの一人。
「Billy Joel / Tell Her About It」
邦題は「あの娘にアタック」。Billboard誌で1983年9月に1週だけ1位を記録しました。
アップテンポで明るくて、50年代とか60年代の古き良き時代のロックンロールとかR&Bとかを思い起こさせる良質なポップソングです。あたくし的に、彼初体験は前作の「Pressure」で、ちょっと重苦しい雰囲気があったんだけど、この曲は痛快にポップ度満点です
。
PVはThe Ed Sullivan Showを模したもので、Ed Sullivanもソックリさん。もしBilly Joelがこの番組にでてたら、的な内容。トッポ・ジージョの次にBillyが紹介されるのが笑えます
。モータウンを思わせる曲だからか、PVの中のバックバンドやバーテンダーなど、たくさんの黒人さんが出てきます。ちなみにBillyの次に紹介されるのはDancing Bear（笑） 動物に挟まれる

They are standing, laying and sitting. The buddha who appeared in the movie “The Burmese Harp”, stay near by Yangon.

This song got 1 week No.1 on Billboard Magazine in September of 1983.
This song is up tempo and happy, and makes me recall Rock and Roll and R&B music of 50’s and 60’s. My first song of him is “Pressure”. It had little shady mood however this song is 100% pop.
The video was similar to “The Ed Sullivan Show”. If Billy were on that show, it would be like this video. We can see a lot of black guys in this video because it may remain Motown song. He was introduced after Topo Gigio by Ed, then Dancing Bear was introduced after Billy.
It makes you remind Motown song, Try it.
