ミャンマーは軍事政権だったために基本アメリカ資本が入っていませんでした。なのでマクドナルドとかスタバがないです（なぜかコーラとケンタッキーはある。なんでだろ？）。
しかし民主政権誕生によりアメリカの経済制裁が解かれ、これから続々とアメリカの文化が入ってくると思います。あぁ、マック食べたい・・・。
さて、今日の曲はこれです。ツイスト踊りたくなります。
邦題は「ロック・タウンは恋の街」。この曲は1982年12月から1983年1月にかけて最高9位を4週間にわたって獲得しました。彼らの最初のTop10ヒッツです。このころ流行っていた曲とは明らかに趣向が異なるロカビリーです。テンポよく曲が進み、自然と体が動いてしまうっ！ カッコイイ!!!★
もともとはUKでのデビューアルバム “Stray Cats” (1981)に収録されていましたが、USでは1st/2ndのベスト盤としてリリースされた “Built For Speed”に収録されていました。
超絶テクニックのギターBrian Setzer、ライブではドラムの上に立ってドラムを叩くSlim Jim Phantom、こちらもウッドベースの上に立って弾くLee Rockerの3人組です。たった3人なのに音数が多くてノリノリで、ツイスト踊れないのに踊りたくなるのは、もはやマジックです。
Stray Catsは解散しちゃったけど、10年ほど前、Brian Setzer Orchestraを日本で観ました。本当にカッコよかった・・・。

This song got 4 weeks No.9 on Billboard Magazine during December 1982 and January 1983. It’s 1st Top 10 hit for them. It’s different from other hit songs in these years, it’s rockabilly. Fast, Wanna dance. So cool.
This song was in their 1st album “Stray Cats” which was released in UK. In US, the compilation album “ Built For Speed” had this song with the essential songs from their 1st and 2nd albums.
This band formed with Brian Setzer who had super guitar technique, Slim Jim Phantom who beaten the drum with standing on the drum, and Lee Rocker who played and danced with a double base.
Their songs make us dance even if we can not dance. It’s magic.
