I am just amazed that cheap things can be of good quality... That's all...

Placed the new bought rug over the futon to sleep for a night...
Mee god.... So comfy ! Feels like dogs fur....
Can't wait to squeeze on the bed with them again!

We are returning to the mall to buy another rug because it just felt so nice to sleep on....
Plus we know we will need it during winter... But summer is coming next month??

Field trip

Field trip to NARA next Friday!
3 hours Bus ride, mee god...

I am so excited to be going to NARA again after 5 years..( that was with Matsumoto family )
I had a little regret of not donating roof tiles to the temple..
Hopefully it can still be done...

But before that, we are having the final exam of the term ....

Dog park

This was after the exhibition we went last Saturday.
There was a dog park outside the expo area...

I wish pan pan could be here, he would be running without leash and playing with dogs.
Lappy likes no dog, so it does not matter to him. But if he could be here, he would be lying on my futon beside me now ....

On our way back, we shopped at Jusco, along the Aonami line... Super like the shops ! Cheap and good !

We bought a bumble bee costume for Xiao lappi. His clothes is more expensive than mine !
But I felt "okay lor, buy lor" when fred said that dog has just one lifetime... ( human too la )

Oh me god when I see Pomeranians in a stroller...
The owner has 6 poms! Wow, she carries a photo album of her dogs leh... Studio shots somemore... V adorable...

Sold at a toy department. A device that allows your dog to talk to you.... What a interesting product ! $270 maybe?
Mee god ....

If dogs can chose, they will chose to become pets in Japan !

Dinner at NUA

Last Friday : Dinner at NUA .
Venue : Professor Wada work studio ??

We think he knows how to enjoy life very much ... Ha...

He cooked Spanish paella. Was nice ! Should have paid more attention to what he added!
Was chatting with a graduate of NUA whom is now an assistant lecturer to Prof.
Kiyoe is so friendly to engage in a conversation with me. Both of them are able to speak english and have been to Singapore and visited TP...
They miss the hawker food as much as we do !
Enjoyable~

Wada sensei's cooking area in his studio.... He got some cutlery from flea market in Sg.... And if makes you wonder who uses it before....

His collection of antiques and precious junks.
It's messy but organized... Very designer's work studio....

He has been extremely nice to us since we came...
Brought us to buy home appliances, showed us cherry blossom in a park.....
Nagoya university of arts is a sister school of TP, and fred will be entering his school at year 3 next April....
Hope he will continue to do well in university :D

Exhibition for the Pysically challenged

Was informed about a design exhibition by Professor Wada, so we went....
It was at Nagoya port, 25 mins train ride, quite similar to the Singapore expo..

When we reached, I saw many wheel chair bound people around,
which I later realized the exhibtion was for the physically challenged...
So.... It's more towards the technology and medical product design...

This picture below is showing a demo on a product which helps the wheel chair to move on stairs...

Japanese car manufacturers participated as well...
Below is the Mazda's car designed for the disabled....
Their concept is all about the same.....

This is built for speed. Some competition....

Made by the same company as the one above....

There was a service-dog booth, I didn't know that they were
called service-dog....
The pamflet educates us that there are 3 categories of trained dogs ;
Guide dog - for the blind
Service dog - for the disabled
Hearing dog - for the deafs

They have different trainings and when they are at work, we
are not allowed to touch them!
I have heard about this before but was not certified until today.
So now I understand why....

They will work for maybe 10 years and then become full time pets....
We think that these dogs are amirable but feel sad too,
They can't be touched and played with like any other dogs in the
park.....
And how long more do they have when they retire from their
service.....
