How coincidental that after talking

about the extra tuition class

and

my Fav. ramen shop

in the previous post....

Today,

I saw our classmate from the tuition class

working in that restaurant !!!

He is not a student of our school,

someone from outside who wants to

prepare for the Japanese Language

Proficiency Test....

The tuition class consists of just

Me, Fred and him...

Probability is super slim !

Although it's just 2 lessons so far,

( never spoken to him before )

today's ramen was served

with F.O.C soft yolk boiled egg........

+ extra meat !!

Over the Moon !!!

That's possible because Shop owner

was not around (＾～＾)

My only comfort food in NAGOYA

N2 CHALLENGE IN DECEMBER.......

To prepare us for N2, we have signed up for

extra lessons with the school...

I wanna speak like a japanese soon...

I'll just do what I should and hopefully.....

Dinner at one of our favourite shops today

I think I can only consider 2

restaurants as my favourite

(1) - NABE

always feel shy to say this word....

The shop is run by a single person...

His service is superb !

So that's another reason we frequent

the shop...

It's typical japanese restaurant -

dine while sitting on the tatami

When I wear shorts, he will pass me a

cloth to cover the legs...

When we leave, he will arrange the

shoes for us...

Occassionally, he serves food on-the-house....

+ Every girl gets a pack of bath powder

for the お風呂..

This kind of service doesnt

exist in Singapore,

most probably,

only in Japan....

いいサービスという点では、

日本人はシンガポール人とは、

比べものにならない。。。

Today he said :

You have cut your hair ....

Although it wasnt a compliment,

I am delighted that he even bother

to say it...

His business doesnt seem to be very good,

we hope he doesnt close down...

Cos' his food is V NICE & REASONABLE PRICE

LOCATION is not good....

(2) - RAMEN,

I dont think it has a name because

this is the only ramen sold in that restaurant...

We have had it for about 10 times already ?

During lunch time, the queue is super long...

So we usually have it at 11am, before the

salary men go for lunch...

salary man = white collar workers

I didnt like it at first...

But now....

I love it !

太好吃了 !

+ the shop provides 1 free serving of extra noodle ...

I can always finish 2 bowls of it....

Other RAMEN, no thank you ....

These are the only two I have appetite for...

Lost 2 kg already !!

Happy and sad at the same time...

A new food to me...

Had vietnamese food at ガーさん's

place this afternoon...

This dish consists of many types

of vegetables,

one of them, was plucked somewhere

near her place... I dont quite trust her

that it could be eaten...

But anyways, I tried one and I cant bring

myself to swallow it..

It has a unique smell which she

has told me about...

口に合わない...

She passed me a rice paper and I thought,

"How is this supposed to be eaten, so hard??"

Ahhh, so that's why there is a bowl

of water...

You use your hand to apply water

on the rice paper...

Add the ingredients :

Many types of vegetables, meat, prawn,

rice vermicelli

Wrap it, and dip in the spicy, sour sauce....

Culture is a fun thing !

Taken at the CLAY modeling exhibition

at Toyata Museum last friday....

It was a Clay modeling exhibition for

CARS... I thought it would be

a big event, but it was a small

scale one....

Only a few completed car models

were displayed...

When GTR was still rare in SG,

Ex-boss drove it.

When I first saw it, i thought,

What a cool car... !!

Although I still think it is nice,

the people who drive it....

are show-off ah bengs who

have a bit of money...

(Ex boss not included as he has already sold the car...)

Ha.....................

Very life-like, superb !!

In this little language school、

Fred and I were awarded in

yesterday's speech contest !

Not some prestigious chart

in universities...

but well....

we were happy to see our names,

got certs + book store vouchers !

A town popular for its ceramic ware

and MANEKI NEKO, 招财猫。。。。。

The invitation from Kiyoe-san to the

常滑祭り　turned out to be a sightseeing

trip...! Got to know her friends and

a clay modelling instructor whom

I later recalled seeing his back view only

when I was at NUA's open campus....

I thought these ceramic pipes and

liquor bottles were maybe set in place

not too long ago, but these streets have

had history of more than 100 years already !!

Many uphill roads + mosquitos

Not city, so I enjoyed ..

And went to the festival,

bought food and went uphill again...

To see fireworks...

Although it lasted 1 hour, it was not

as nice as Singapore's..

Combining everything to form a

20min-whole-climax-throughout

will be more impressive, isnt that so?

Anyways, just knew this information in class today.

Where do the Foreigners in Japan come from :

China is the No.1 (including HK & Taiwan)

2nd - Korea,

I have met 4 koreans here.... And I have to say,

koreans learn japanese language very fast

and they speak like japanese !!

ALL those i met !

Envious....

It's hard for us because,

Singaporeans don't speak with

BIG expressions on their faces...

We are monotonous...

And when teacher asked which

country we think is 3rd,

I said : Brazil

PING PONG PING PONG PING PONG

Well, the guy I met in

NUA told me that he will be

working with a lot of brazilians

in Subaru...

That's how the thought came..
