Aileen and my aunt have set off for Tokyo early this morning so it's no more holiday mood for me. School has started officially today and I am looking forward to blowing glass again.

Since our American professor will be returning to his homeland for good, there has been some changes among the lecturers. Whatever it is, I still hope to learn as much as I can from them.

I received a bubble wrapped package that reads "バネッサさん、お疲れ様でした つさか".

It says "Vanessa 辛苦你了 Tsusaka" I was thrilled because it's from my blow glass teacher. I opened the package and found this :

A cup with stripes in neon rainbow colours.

I really aspire to be like him someday.

Last week, Aileen, her mum, Fred and I went to the inuyama castle, the botanical garden in Mie, and rode the romantic railway at Kyoto.

We were in a leather craft shop where Aileen bought a leather keychain with her name punched.

It was my first time to Inuyama castle.

When we were walking back to the station, school children in groups were walking and over taking us. All greeting us "Good day" and

I wonder if that was taught in school.

These 3 kept turning back as they walked and posed for pictures.

We had fallen sakura petals in our hands.

And showering them over us.

Too bad, our expressions did not compliment the flying petals!!

Why did we look so funny here?

It's TULIP fair in Nabano no sato now.

So, I have been to Nabana no sato during

Summer, Winter and Spring already.

And then,
we also had dinner at the place I am working at - Gengenbach.

The food was great! With complimentary dessert too. I want to go back there and dine again because the chef usually prepares Japanese food for us during work. So I can only try what's on the menu if I go as a customer. Yummy!

Aileen will be back this Thursday and she will sleep for another night at our place before leaving for SG this Friday morning.

I think she will have a great time in TOKYO!
