Sigh........

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR (ﾉ_・｡)
...lately I seem to be making that expression a lot.....
I have been doing some thinking recently and.....
it seems that I'm not quite sure about what I want in life anymore.... >_<
Do you ever get that kind of feeling??
I don't exactly feel "lost" in life..
In fact...I definitely consider myself to be very lucky since I pretty much have all that I could ever ask for.
I thought that getting into dental school would fill that "void" inside of me, but it was only able to partially fill it.
It's almost as if I have run out of goals in life lol
I worked pretty hard to get into dental school...and now that I'm in, it's like now what??? what do i do now?? what do i aim for??
*sigh.......*
I think I'm just the type of girl who is always chasing rainbows!
I always want what I can't / don't have...I am so awful don't you think......
HHHAAAAAAARRRRR........

I will ponder on that a bit more when I get the chance...

Anyhow!
school has been soo crazy hectic for me lately
I attend class from 8 - 5 almost everyday, and I stay till around 11 pm doing just lab work...which doesn't even include studying...only practical stuff
Therefore I have been quite exhausted
tomorrow night should be better though! I have decided to give myself the evening off to enjoy some time with my guy friends =)
really looking forward to it since I haven't seen them in a while ^_^ (they are also getting a little upset with me lol because I never get the chance to spend time with them)
lol and yes...it's not a typical "girl's night" with girlfriends...it is a "guy's night" with my guys =)
As a stress reliever, I have also been watching this drama =)



This has definitely been added to my list of favorites XD
hehe everything about this drama is pretty much perfect to my liking (except that it's too short...I wish it was longer so that I can enjoy it for a longer time) =)
it has comedy, romance, and without a doubt the guys in this drama are beautiful lol
Definitely fairy-tale romance...but I guess it's not a bad thing for a girl to dream on every once in a while haha ^_~

So it is just a little under a month until my birthday! it is approaching quite fast...
i have a lot of people asking me what I will be doing for my birthday...
At the moment...I feel like I cannot think about anything...
*sigh...*
Hope my feelings change soon or else it will be one sad birthday lol
Do you have any suggestions?? =)
hehe so I guess I will end it here for now!

Happy Halloween!! =)

Hey!! Halloween is almost here! are you excited?? I'm super excited! =D
However...I am also saddened =(
My original plan was to go out with my niece and nephew for Halloween, but...it just seems a little too dangerous at the moment =(
there have been too many weird cases happening lately. you know...things like people wearing masks and killing random people on the streets =S, people putting needles / drugs in candies, etc. etc.
Therefore...I decided that trick-or-treating had to be cancelled =(
BUT!
I think I might take them to the shopping mall instead to do some trick-or-treating in the afternoon =)
this might actually work out to be a bit better considering I need to do some studying in the evening anyway >_<

hehe so yesterday (Friday) most of my schoolmates wore their Halloween costumes to school (Fridays are also the day where children are booked in our dental clinic lol so you can imagine how crazy it must have been ^^)

Red Orange Yellow =)

At last! Autumn is officially here =)
I especially love the trees during this time of year...they are so pretty!
This year, the transition from summer to autumn has been great so far. Normally it gets so cold that the trees don't even have enough time to "change"...the leaves just fall right off lol
however! This year we are getting lots and lots of fall colours ^__^

Of all 4 seasons autumn is my favorite =)
I don't take the heat too well...so I do prefer cool weather over hot
and winter in Canada is definitely too cold lol
so autumn is just perfect ^__^

My friends and I bid summer farewell and welcomed Autumn last weekend with our last bonfire of the year =)





These pictures were taken right after the flame started to die...but the coal looked amazing! It was bright red and looked as though they were "dancing" =) so beautiful ^_^
Aside from all the beautiful colors, fresh air, and cool weather, Autumn also marks the start of soo many wonderful holidays!
First off is Halloween!!!!
I LOVE HALLOWEEN!! =D hehe I always enjoy seeing little kids in cute costumes lol and everyone is always in such good spirits for Halloween. For example, a lot of houses here have already put up their Halloween decorations =) and stores are all selling Halloween costumes and candies! =D
what should I dress up as this year? =P
in November we have our Remembrance Day...which is a holiday we dedicate to our veterans who fought in the wars so that we can have a peaceful country today...it is indeed a very touching day... =(
then comes December! my FAVOURITE month of the year!!! XD
hehehehe December is the month that I was born in, and of course it is also the month of Christmas! ^____^ It's great having a birthday in December...everyone is always "extra generous" during this time of year lol so sometimes they tend to "double up" on my birthday gifts kekekeke (＝⌒▽⌒＝)
and of course Christmas is always wonderful! Exams always finish before Christmas hehe so I do enjoy the fact that I can dedicate all my time to my friends and family =) . My cousins normally fly in from other provinces to visit during the holiday season, and there are always soo many parties and gatherings with friends and family ^_^. I LOVE Christmas shopping =P (even though a lot of people will say its too stressful to enjoy lol) and believe it or not...I LOVE snow!! (except when it turns brown and muddy from traffic lol) Snow can indeed be very troublesome as it makes the roads very slippery and dangerous...but regardless, to me snow is really beautiful =) (I enjoy taking long walks when the snow falls softly...You might think otherwise but I still think that it is very romantic lol :*:・(￣∀￣)・:*:)
so the list just goes on and on with December hehe XD
and after Christmas comes New Years, Chinese New Years, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter lol I'M SO EXCITED!!! =D
But of course...I need to take things one day at a time hahaha
(sometimes I get way too ahead of myself lol)
FOCUS!
by the way...I recently cut the front of my hair =)
I now have straight bangs! =D



What do you think? hehe I cut it myself! I'm also thinking of getting the back professionally cut this weekend =)

hmm..?

hi! it's me! do you remember me? lol
it's been so long since I last blogged!
let's see....where to start...
well...school's been keeping me busy..as usual
last week for the first time IN MY LIFE I dissected a dead human body =S
it felt really weird at first...but I think I'm becoming accustomed to it.
.....one thing I don't think I can ever get used to is the smell.......... =S
I honestly feel very privileged to be able to study the human body like that as it is a once in a lifetime experience
Dissecting bodies will be a part of my regular schedule in school
aside from that...nothing else is new =)

I actually quit my part time job last weekend >.<
ehehe it is a little bitter sweet... =(
I really enjoyed working (I was a waitress by the way =) )
and I love most of my co-workers! they are all so nice! =)
but sadly...there is just no way of keeping up with school while working part time.
hehe the good part is I can look forward to enjoying my weekends like a normal student =)
but...I will just be living off of my parents and the money the bank lent me lol
oh!
tomorrow night...I will be attending a social =)

ORAL FIXATION
it is my school's (Faculty of Dentistry) fundraising social
it is a big event! =)
originally I was a little excited to go...but now it just seems like too much trouble lol (sometimes I think I'm honestly a hermit... =S )
this year...it is being held at THREE different bars =D
these 3 bars are in the same area of the city...so it is within walking distance
of each other
how it works is...
the bars charge 5 Canadian dollars per person
we sell the tickets for 15 Canadian dollars, so we actually profit 10 dollars for each ticket ^__^
8 dollars of the 10 goes towards the student's class funds (which will be used for class activities, graduation, etc.) (the other 2 dollars goes towards the school's student council)
by myself I sold a total of 25 tickets (mine included in there) hehe so I made a total of 200 dollars for my class! NICE! =)
also, my school bought out the maximum capacity of each bar
so...without a ticket, people CANNOT get into the bar! >=)
should I sell my ticket to someone who desperately wants it for a high price? lol
that would be evil ne... =P
personally I think 15 dollars is a bit expensive JUST for admission
but I guess people are willing to pay extra money for a good time =)
I also know some people who are paying this extra money for the wrong reasons lol
(they hope to meet a dentist / dental student so that they can get married and become rich lol)
I personally think that's wrong...but everybody thinks differently =)

White Coat Ceremony

HELLO! A couple of days ago I had my "White Coat Ceremony"! =D
This ceremony marks my official entrance into the profession as a student!
Congratulations to me! lol
So how it goes is...
There are a total of 29 students in my class (myself included), and we are given our white coats which have our name tags attached. We are then called to the stage in groups of 5, where our "mentors" (graduated and practicing dentists who will guide us during our 4 years of studies in dental school =) ) help us to put on the white coats. It is a tradition of my school to have our mentors place the white coat on us as it is a symbol of "passing on" the profession to the newer generation ^__^







hehe it was a really nice ceremony =)
except our coats have so many buttons lol
I just completed my first two weeks of school this year =)
so far all we did was play eat drink and play some more lol
but that will change this week as my classes officially start =S
I am sooooo excited (as nerdy as I sound lol)
I believe that I finally feel like I belong =)
all these years of school...I was never really excited to go to class haha
however...I am really interested and excited to begin my schooling in this profession. Therefore...I'm truly happy to be a student in this faculty =)
For once in all these years of university...I feel like I want to try hard and do really well lol (as weird as it sounds)
I will make the most of my experience in this faculty because what I learn now will definitely be reflected in the future as a competent clinician. ^__^
This is the start of a new journey for me! =D
