Hi everyone! Today is February 5, which means we are just 2 days into the Lunar New Year =) Happy Chinese New Year!! ^^
Hehe we share the same new year as Korean individuals, I wonder who else?? =D
It is custom for us to receive "lucky money" for new years =)
It is the way for "adults" to wish good fortune / education / health / etc. upon the children
These two envelopes are from my parents ^^
eeeee so a lot has been happening in my life lately! Some ups...but also a lot of downs... =(
Because I've been feeling just so "blah" lately...my friend gave me this toy lol
Do you know this character? kekeke this is "Sackboy" from the game "Little Big Planet" (for PS3) lol at first when you look at his face...it looks a little silly...but if you look long enough...it can make you feel really happy haha
(that's how it feels for me when I look at him anyway lol)
So it was really sweet of him to attempt to make me feel better =)
Then....He also gave me this shirt =P
lol isn't it nerdy??? sooo cute!! It is a tooth and toothbrush + toothpaste fighting off cavities haha. He bought this shirt for himself, 3 of our male classmates, and me =) . Being the only girl in my circle of friends at school...I was the only one with a different color lol (I looked like the leader of the gang hahahaha)
*sigh...*
So just yesterday, a really good friend of mine "moved away" ... =(
During the last two years, we spent about 90% of our time together...so I guess during that time we were able to become really close friends.
He left to another province to do some volunteering work for his church group, and although recently we don't see each other often....now just the thought of him being so far away from me makes me feel so sad... =(
When we were in the same city...I guess I always thought that he was only just aphone call away. All I had to do was call him or send him a text and he would seem nearby...but now, he is hundreds and thousands of miles away from me =(
He said he wants to volunteer there for the next 4 years at least...but it is indefinite as he could end up staying there even longer...or if they asked him to go abroad he wouldn't hesitate to go.....He's not even sure if he will move backto this city once he's done volunteering... ><
We had dinner a couple of nights ago, and he even came to school to visit me before he left...but during all of that...all I could think about was "this could be the last time I get to see him..."
*sigh....*
I am definitely happy for him since he will be doing something that he will enjoy =) but deep down inside...I am selfishly thinking to myself that I don't want him to go... =(
But I suppose this is all a part of life...
I cannot and must not selfishly hold on to things / people because life just has to go on ne....
I will learn to become stronger.. =)

Just a little late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR! =D
I hope everyone was able to replenish themselves during the holiday so that you can all start the new year feeling anew. =)
Lol sadly I don't feel that I was able to "heal" myself over my Christmas break =(
Regardless, it was great while it lasted. ^^
As for New Year's Resolutions...I don't really believe in them because I don't think people normally get really far with them lol
However...I would definitely like to improve on my work ethics in regards to school hehehe
Last term I slacked off a lot...and as a result...my grades aren't looking top notch! (I didn't fail anything lol just in case you're wondering... =P )
So this term I really want to focus more on school and less on playing =P
I just completed my first week of my new semester. A lot has happened already so I'm already feeling stressed and burnt out...
BUT!
I will not give up lol
Please wish me luck! I just hope I can survive this term haha

It's been a loong while! =P
So much has been happening lately so it's quite difficult for me to find the time to "Pigg" (lol) and blog
But here I am! =)
It's been one week since I wrote my last final exam (I hope my exams went well =P)...and right after that my time was completely devoted to finishing my Christmas shopping, doing Christmas baking, and spending time with family and friends ^^
It's sooo nice! But I'm sooo tired lol
At least it's a "good" kind of tired =)
hehe and tonight! I FINALLY finished wrapping my presents lol
this is what's left to deliver out (half was sent out already =) )
I'm so excited to deliver these! ^^
It will be such a good feeling to have free space in my room again haha
(Just not very excited about driving in all the snow and traffic... >< )
oh! Speaking of snow! Here are some pictures that I took a couple of weeks back (not like much has changed since then lol)

keke it's not like this in EVERY Canadian city though...my city is just known tohave really extreme winters =P
It is now 2:10 am December 24th...which means right now it is Christmas Eve! =) I'm soo excited about celebrating Christmas this year! For some reason I'm really feeling the Christmas spirit hehe ^^ hopefully you are too! =)
And to end today's post, I would like to wish you all a very safe and wonderful Christmas season =)

yesterday...
we had our first big snow storm of the season =)
there is not an inch on the ground that is not covered in white fluffy snow hehe
definitely will be a white Christmas this year XD
it all of a sudden became VERY COLD too =S
at night I'm finding it difficult to sleep because my feet get cold lol
I personally really like snow because its so pretty! However...I don't enjoy it as much when the snow is as high as up to my knee and I have to walk to school in it T_T
whats worse is when I'm wearing my suede or knit UGG boots because they can easily get damaged by water >_<
My city is known to have some of the worst winters in Canada lol
yea...it gets pretty bad here
Today I took one step outside my house...the snow immediately covered my boot, and therefore I ended up driving to school =P
its so expensive for me to drive to school...but it definitely saves me the hassle of going through the great mountains of snow =(
*sigh...* Winters in Canada are so troublesome
so expensive too! I don't know about how things work in other places...but just "warming up the car" (which takes around 10 minutes) uses up a lot of gas...also must suck for people who don't have car starters and have to stay in their cold cars to wait for it to become warm =S
then driving on the streets...soo many car accidents during the winter due to the slippery roads and heaping piles of snow
it's also very troublesome to wear nice clothes in the winter (pants will ALWAYSget wet because of all the snow, you cannot wear "nice shoes" to go with nice clothes because your feet will literally FREEZE lol and the list just goes on and on and on... =P )
Despite all these negative aspects about our winters...I still love it hehehehe
Firstly I am a December-Baby hahaha so that is definitely something to look forward to ^__^
I also find winter to be a very "warm" time of year (not physically warm lol but very heart-warming)
Perhaps it's because of the cold weather outside but snuggling up indoors is just the best feeling in the world during this time lol
Lately I've been finding it extremely difficult to stay awake throughout the day
Time for me to to enter into my hibernation mode! lol
