Weddings are Done!

wow that was one loooong weekend for me ^^
it was so much fun!!
Two weddings in a row lol I don't think too many people experience this =P
However...by the time Monday came around...I was just exhausted....
For the past 2 weeks I think I was only getting around 3-4 hours of sleep each night...and even less during the past weekend since the weddings were happening.
There was so much preparation put into the weddings and now that they're over...I feel a little sad =( very glad and happy, but sad..
lol I don't think I've ever spent so much money doing hair and makeup bahaha
In total it probably cost about..hmm...almost 400 Canadian dollars ><
Luckily much of it was paid for by "my sponsors" bahahaha (it's nice being the baby in the family lol)
dresses were also very expensive...but when I look at the pictures now it was all worth it =) I'm sure it made both of my brides really happy...so therefore...it was all worth it! ^^

What I thought was particularly different about this wedding was that all 4 bridesmaids had different colours =)
It worked out very nicely =) Of course I was assigned the colour purple lol for some reason...the colour purple and I seem destined to be together for many things =P

Good work everyone! Both weddings were absolutely beautiful and definitely verymemorable =)
During that weekend for 4 days I slept for a total of hmm..maybe 12 hours all together lol
It was tough...but soooo worth it!
I think I'm still recovering haha

Tomorrow is the day of my sister's Wedding!! =D
Lately everyone has been SUPER BUSY preparing for this wedding ^^
It is stressful...but it is definitely a happy kind of stress =)
We also have relatives who flew in for this day
lol because we have been entertaining people...I have been eating a lot AHAHA
Hopefully my dresses will fit me lol =P

Want to know what's even more stressful??
The day after tomorrow....I have another wedding lol
I will be a bridesmaid for that wedding too XD
Definitely looking forward to a weekend full of FUN!!! =D

ただいま

I am back from my vacation =)
I was gone for ~3 weeks
From Winnipeg we flew to Vancouver where we drove across to the USA 2 times ^_^
hehe it was soo much fun!! The main purpose of this trip was for my cousin's wedding =) Here are some pics that I found on my camera (I enhanced them a bit =))

We were bridesmaids that day. The other bridesmaids were absent in this picture =P
I thought the dresses were really classy. The colours were all the same, but we all had a different style =)

Unfortunately...I got REALLY ill that day =( that's why I look like I'm on drugs in the picture...(I really was overdosing on medication lol)
So sadly...I wasn't able to get much pictures on my camera. I'll put more up when I get the professional copies of the pictures from the wedding =)

During this trip...I ate a lot and shopped a lot lol. That was basically my lifestyle for the 3 weeks that I was in British Columbia. I often visit British Columbia because my cousins live there, but I don't think I can ever get enough ofthe beautiful mountains and nature in that province! It truly is a beautiful place to be =)

So anyway! That is one wedding down! only 4 more to go lol
Yes...it is wedding season after all =)
Now I stress all the time about outfits, hair, makeup, bridal showers, wedding showers, etc. etc. almost every weekend ><
Seems like a lot of people are having babies too this year lol
Lots and lots to prepare for! I'll keep you posted on my activities hehe

FINALLY!!

YAAAAY I am finally done my final exams for this term =)
Everyone, I have successfully completed my first year of dental school ^___^
which makes me 1/4 of a dentist now haha
This whole year went by really quick...which made me realize that I should probably try to do more with my life lol
I suddenly had this realization a couple of days ago that I'm not that young anymore =(
Time is ticking and I need to make every minute of every day worthwhile =)

so last weekend...a majority of my classmates and I took a small roadtrip to a small town 4 hours outside of our city. One of our classmate's father passed away from an accident due to a blizzard that happened the week before. Definitely not the ideal way to begin summer holiday, but I am glad that I was able to be there for my friend. It truly was tragic, but despite everything she was still able to greet us with a smile. I admire her strength a lot...
It was also really nice to see most of my classmates at the funeral. This shows how close we have become after just one year of dental studies together. I hope that we can all grow to become closer friends throughout the remaining 3 years that we have together =)

Now that I am starting to get into the mood for my summer break, I decided to start packing for my trip ^___^
I will be flying out to British Columbia in 4 days and will be staying there for ~3 weeks =D
My cousin is getting married, so I decided to take this opportunity to spend some extra time in British Columbia to "re-discover" myself lol (considering I don't have to worry about schooling and such for 3 months!)
Sadly...I won't be taking on a summer job lol so I will just continue to have a NEGATIVE INCOME and use my student status as my excuse to be poor and lazy ahahaha
I WILL however try to keep up with updating my blog etc. more often =P hehe

Snowboarding Trip

Hi All!
Finally I feel like I have the time to just sit down and "breathe" lol
The last month or so has just been sooo crazy for me =(
It was exam after exam after exam plus assignments and laboratory work then more tests and the list just continues to go on... ><
*sigh...*
good thing is that most of my midterms are over...(not to mention I successfuly survived through it haha)
bad thing is that means it's the start of my final exams lol
BUT! I've decided to take at least half a week off to just relax and catch up on rest hehe (lol it's gonna take A LOT of rest to get rid of my panda face @_@)

So to celebrate the nearing of completing our midterms, some of my classmates and I planned a one day trip to go visit the mountains last weekend to do some snowboarding / skiing =)
It was my first time snowboarding ^^ (actually I think I was falling more than actually snowboarding lol)
It was sooo fun! For anyone who gets the opportunity to visit the North (ie. Canada hehe) I definitely recommend that you at least try some of our winter sports!

Because I fell so much...my body suffered A LOT the day after lol
I was sooo sore and my entire body was so achy!
I was taught that if you must fall...always just fall on your bum! (lol hands are important so save them no matter what! =P )
And...that's what I did! lol so....I basically had bruises everywhere! lol
Good thing is I didn't suffer from any severe injuries that day =) (or else my parents would have been really upset with me =S )
My friends were actually all really good at snowboarding already
*sigh...* only myself and another individual were complete amateurs...
we did end up hiring an instructor that day...(turned out to be a really good looking one too lol =P)
I really want to try snowboarding more so I can enjoy the larger hills and mountains with all my friends (no more bunny hill haha).
Not to mention it will also be an excuse for me to purchase a complete set of gear since it looks so awesome lol
Motivation to improve! ^___^

Tomorrow my faculty is holding an event to raise money where all proceeds will go towards Red Cross to help Japan. One of our local radio stations will also be there selling these t-shirts:

I am so glad that the students in my school put together this event despite everybody's ridiculously busy schedules. I hope many people will attend this event =)
I am also very touched by what I see from the world where people initiate movements to help every time a certain country is struggling through hardship. A little naive of me to think this, but hopefully we can all work together to make the world a better place =)
