Last Friday I had a basketball game for CDC at night. Usually the games are on Saturday, but for some reason, they decided to have games on a Friday night for one week. Unfortunately, we had to play at nine that night. After the victory, Connor, Wischmeyer, Nomair, Adam, and me wanted to get something to eat. However, everything seems to close way too early for a weekend night. Chick-fil-A, Five Guys, and other places along Greyhound Pass were closed. It seems like the only places open were drive-throughs and Steak N Shake. I think McDonalds is open 24 hours a day. I think places should stay open until 11:30. It is just better for everyone else. Steak N Shake has a monopoly on late night eating. They would not have to do this everynight, just on the weekends when most people are out. It is really annoying to show up to a place only for it to be closed. I believe if they stayed open later on the weekends, they would see a big rise in activity. Danny Laudick of period 6 said, believe they should be open, so that I can do what I want when I want. I personall agree with Danny. Robert Bruns, also of period 6, says higher quality restaurants need to stay open later. That was a complaint amongst our group after our game on Friday night. Please hear our plea..
ok so I forgot one of the craziest things I have ever seen happen. last Friday when Susan was giving Rocco and I a ride to the liquor store we were going down the road minding our own damn business. when this car decides to make its own lane. well since there is snow on the ground the lanes are narrower then normal but he still wanted to merge. well being NJ 2 cars can almost magically fit into 1 lane of traffic but the guy actually turned into the pickle(Susans green station wagon) made contact. and kept driving. there was no chance what so ever to catch up to or even see the plates. luckly though there was no damnage but still the simple fact remains that NJ drivers suck* (*note this is for all the NJ drivers I don know. if you have never ridden in a car with someone from NJ then you wouldn understand.
