3/20 Tycoon Charity Dance!!!!!!!
On 3/20 (sunday) we were to have Gappy Ranks final show in Japan, however, due to uncontrollable circumstances like, lets say, EARTHQUAKES!!! TSUNAMIS & RADIOACTIVITY!!! We sent Gappy &Pierre from Special Delivery back to London on our #savetheartist campaign.
Shows & Dances all across Japan were being cancelled in order to preserve energy due to rolling blackouts and just an overall mourning for the victims of 3/11 events. But in time, people naturally want to feel like things can be back to normal and they just want to, even if for 1 hour, have a good time.
Bigga-C & I decided to go ahead and keep on dance on 3/20 anyways... to help bring back the vibez alittle. As a result, we decided to make the dance a charity dance along with Nesta Brand Clothing. Admission was free but a portion of the drinks and money pull ups for the night were donated to charity.
Big up all the sounds that passed thru to donate their time and energy as well....
Stepping Razor, Reed Run, Delta Force, Seven Star, Human Crest, Marshall Law, Black Gold & more... big up!!! Vibez stayed positive all night... I never heard so much culture music play in the dance in awhile. I kinda vex that you sounds don't play dem tunes more often!!! grrrrrrrr!!! ok ok... i'm guilty too.
People came and supported the dance and when a tune deserved a pull up... the bucket became full!!! At one time, 4 people pulled up a tune at the same time and money was put in the pot!! Big tune right now... and Unity friend... Gappy Ranks "I Was There" got 3 consecutive pull ups!!! The tune is getting love and people appreciate the love from Gappy. In addition, for each pull up... we gave away the New Unity Sound - Gappy Ranks the Mix CD as a present!!!

At the end of the night.... Money Pull ups earned 43688 yen!!! Unity Sound x Nesta Brand donated everything to charity!!!

Help build back Japan... money isn't everything... so if you have it... let's give it!!! Build back the schools, feed the people in need, clean up the roads, One for All and All for One.

Day 6: Video & Shizuoka - Final Day
Because the shows were cancelled at Ageha 3/18 & Mito 3/19 and 3/20 was still unknown, We all decided that it would be safest if Gappy & Pierre get out of Japan as soon as they can because of the anticipated nuclear crisis that was developing in the North. We think a 9.0 earthquake, aftershocks, a nuclear crisis, tsunamis in the north were enough for one trip for them... lol.
Virgin Airline enabled them to change their ticket free of charge for the earliest flight back to London, UK which turned out to be 3/17 Thursday at 12pm... however we still had a show in Shizuoka (west of Yokohama) on Wednesday.
Before heading to Shizuoka, Gappy & Pierre went back to Yokohama to film some footage for "I Was There" video... Gappy only made the song the day before while reasoning in the hotel room and remininsing about the previous day events. The song just came out naturally once he heard the riddim.
They shot footage and quickly came back to hotel to get ready for Shizuoka... however, Gappy left his Blackberry in a unidentified taxi cab. The panic set in more then the natural disaster that happened days before... an artist that loses a blackberry sees the world as an unlivable place... lol.
I tried to tell Gappy not to worry, this is Japan, but Gappy is from a place where an unattended blackberry is gone in less than 1/2 a second and never seen again. The search was on!!! Gappy left for Yokohama station without telling anyone. He even had a nice convo with a police man who spoke little to no English in an attempt to find his phone. After about an hour+ Gappy arrived back at the hotel with no blackberry.
We tried to narrow down the taxi cabs leaving Yokohama station by calling the companies that only have all white cabs. Daijiro from Diamond Edge and a long time bredren of Pierre and Unity Sound, helped tremedously. In less than 20 minutes, the cab was located and within the hour the infamous blackberry was back at the hotel. Some of the cab companies were already aware of the missing phone because the police officer that Gappy talked to was doing the same thing we were. Welcome to Japan!!!

By the time the phone came, it was time to make movements to Shizuoka. We stopped by my place to say good bye to Milion & Leyon (my sons). Milion is a big Gappy fan so dat was a muss!! While at my place, they filmed some more footage that is seen in the "I Was There" video.

Shizuoka we go!!!!!
Big up Revolution Gang.. with all the things going on in Japan, they still saw it fit to keep the dance still!!! No matter the amount of people, the show must go on!!!
Marshall Law & Unity Sound vibed up the pre-show time. Shizuoka always has a nice vibe and the people gave much love to Gappy. Pictures, autographs, and personal whining was the theme of the night... lol. Love Shizuoka baddd!!!!

Once the dance was done, we didn't have much time to chill since we had to rush back to Yokohama and get on the shuttle bus to the airport to catch the 12pm flight. Thanks to the driver... everything worked out fine... and Gappy & Pierre reached the airport and made it back to London safe and sound.

The people loved Gappy and his vibe and Gappy loved Japan's vibe and learned alot just from the short experience. The re-Tour is planned for later this year... so people don't forget!!!

Soon as Gappy reached back... he recorded his song "I Was There" and released the video. Within 2 days it reached over 5000 views from various outlets!!! big up!!!!
