今昔の王は死んだ。王様万歳
One minute I held the key
鍵を手にしたその時
Next the walls were closed on me
次に壁は迫ってきた
（The walls close in on me. 壁が迫ってくる）
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt* and pillars of sand
そして俺の城は塩と砂で出来た柱で立っていたのに気がついた
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
私はエルサレムの鐘の音を耳にする
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
ローマの騎兵隊が歌っている。
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
俺の鏡になり、剣になり、盾になれ
My missionaries in a foreign field
外地では宣教師になれ
For some reason I can't explain

And that was when I ruled the world
