宮澤賢治さんの雨にも負けずの英語版

アーサー・ビナートさんの絵本を数か月前に購入しています。

1月の小学校の読み聞かせで音響をつけて読もうと思っています。

四季によってサウンドを変えようかななど模索中ですが

おすすめの曲があったら是非教えてください。

雰囲気は彼が生きていた時代の岩手の風景とともに

そこで流れていたであろう音を拾いたいなと思っています。

最近では書道の師範の検定がありずっと引きこもって隷書を書いておりますが、

なかなかその当時（漢の時代とのことですから２０００年前）の方の趣であったり

風情であったりを連想しながら。。。なんて難しいですね。

本当にあったかもわからないですからね。

でもその時代は今世のような様々な無機質の音はなく

人もずいぶん遠くの音まで聞き分けていた時代ではないでしょうか？

今はずいぶんと耳鳴りのような音がしています。

何故に今私がこうやって文章を書く時もコンピューターに向かっているのですから

致し方ないことでありますが。

それからフランス語を習っていますが

英語も相変わらず飽きることなく勉強せざる負えない環境におりますので

様々な書物を読み耽っています。

文章を見るとたいてい日本人であるのかそうでないのかの区別はつくようになりまして

感情の浮き沈みやパフォーマンスで分かるようになってきますね。

韓国はやはりなんででしょう少し暗いですし無理して明るくする気配がありますね。

彼らの歴史を勉強するといろいろわかることもあるのかもしれません。

前置きがながくなりましたが

「雨にも負けず」

書いていきたいと思います。

Neither will driving snow.

Sweltering summer heat will only raise my determination.

With a body built for endurance, 

a heart free of greed,

trying always to keep a quiet smile on my face.　

My daily diet must be simple:
several heaped bowls of brown rice,some vegetables and miso.

Profit must never be the issue.　

I'll listen to others,observe carefully,and refuse to forget.

I'll make my home in a hut with a thatched roof,near a meadow surrounded by pine trees.

If a child were to fall ill in the east, 

I'd run there to help with the nursing.

If a mother were to overwork herself in the west,

I'd be there to carry the heavy bundels of rice.

If a man were on the verge of death in the south, 

I'd rush to soothe his fears.

If bitter lawsuits and fighting were to break out in the north,

I'd urge all parties to come together and talk things over.

In days of drought, I'd weep, just weep.

In unseasonable cold spells, I'd walk the fields and worry over the stunted crops.

People may call me a fool.I doubt if anyone will applaud me.

Then again, perhaps none will detest me either.

All this is my goal - the person I want to become.

賢治の作品は

生前は「注文の多い料理店」と「春の修羅」のみ表に出てきたそう。

いつまでも心に語りかけてくれる本当の魂の叫びであると思います。

今日は　とても大好きな司書さんからのおすすめの邦書です☆

私はこの作者の作品で一番有名なのは「モチモチの木」The BooyooTree

ですね♡　小学校の教科書に出てきました。　怖ーいモチモチの木のお話。

今日ご紹介するのは、

そしては　べんとうを　わすれたり、

あわてて　谷さ　おちたり、　それが　みんな　おらの　せいになる。

When people get lost up here

この花が、なしで　こんなに　きれいだか、

なして　こうして　さくのだか、

そのわけを、あや、おめえは　しらねえべ。

それは　こうした　わけだしゃ＿。

These flowers here are like none you've ever seen.

You're wondering why they bloom.

そう　いったとき、その花が　さいた。

おっかあは、どんなに　たすかったか！

そよは、どんなに　よろこんだか！

There's no money for two kimonos.

You know that, so you put your sister firtst,

and took a burden off your mother's heart.

Aya, that's when your flower grew.

おまえは　せつなかったべ、

だども、この　赤い花が　さいた。

この　赤い花は、どんな　祭り着の　花もようよりも、

きれいだべ。

ここの　花は　みんな　こうして　さく。

You wanted a new kimono too.

Still, you kept desire inside.

The petals of your flower

are prettier than any kimono.

ソレ　そこに、つゆを　のせて　さきかけて　きた　

ちいさい　青い花が　あるべ。

それは　ちっぽけな、ふたごの　あかンぼうの

うえの子のほうが、　

いま　さかせているものだ。

That blue bud there is about to bloom.

it's coming from twin boys in the village.

きょうだい　といっても、おんなしときの　わずかな　あとさきで　うまれたものが

じぶんは　あんちゃんだと　おもって

じっとしんぼう　している。

おとうとは　おかあの　かたっぽうの　おっぱいをウクンウクンをのみながら

もう　かたほうの　おっぱいも　かたっぽうの手で　いじくっていて　はなさない。

うえの子は　それを　じっと　みて

あんちゃんだから　しんぼうをしている。

目にいっぱい　なみだを　ためて＿。

They were born the same day,

but people call one Younger,

the other Older, and expect 

the Older to be strong.

Younger Brother drinks mother's milk firtst.

Older Brother waits patiently,

but tears well up in his eyes. 

そのなみだが　その　つゆだ。

Each tear... a drop of dew ...

この　花さき山　いちめんの　花は、

みんなこうして　さいたんだ。

つらいのを　しんぼうして、　じぶんのことより　ひとのことを　おもって

なみだを　いっぱいためて　しんぼうすると

その　やさしさと　けなげさが　こうして　花になって　咲きだすのだ。

Whenever you help someone, whenever 

you follow your heart, a flower grows...

Not just flowers, Hills grow too.

Right here where we stand, a man

once saved the lives of many others.

花ばかりではねぇ。

この山だって　このむこうの　みねつづきの　山だって

ひとつづつの　おとこが　いのちをすてて　やさしいことを　したときに　うまれたんだ。

この　山は　八郎っていう　山おとこが、

八郎潟に　しずんで　高波を　ふせいで　村を　まもったときに　うまれた。

His name was Hachiro, and he could see the future.

When a big wave was coming., a tsunami, Hachiro

Knew it would strike  his village. He warned everyone,

helped them to safety, but he himself didn't make it,

The wave swallowed him, HIs body became this hill.

あっちの　山は　三コっていう　大おとこが、

山かじに　なった　オイダラ山サ　かぶさって

村や　林が　もえるのを　ふさいで

やけしんだときに　できたのだ。

やさしいことを　すれば　花がさく。

いのちをかけて　すれば　山が　うまれる。

うそでは　ない、ほんとうの　ことだ・・・。

Onece upon  a time, Sanko, another

bold man, roamed these forests.

When a fire burned out of control,

he held back the flames, saving 

his people. From Sanko's body

another hill grew in the west.

Someday, Aya, maybe 

you'll climb there too.

あやは　山から　かえって、

おとうや　おっかあや、　みんなに

山ンばから　きいた　この　はなしを　した。

しかし、　だァでも　わらって　ほんとうには　しなかった。

「山サいって、　ゆめでも　みてきたんだべ」

「きつねに　ばかにされたんでは　ねえか。

そんな　山は　花は　みたこともねぇ」

みんなそういった。

Aya went home and told everyone about the flowers on Heartbloom HIll,

but no one believed her.

"We've never seen them."

”Girl, it's　 all in your head.

Some teased her, chanting,

{Aya tricked by foxes!

Aya tricked by foxes!"

そこで　あやは、　また　ひとりで

山へ　いってみた。

しかし、　こんどは　山ンばには

あわなかったし、　あの　花も　みなかったし、

花さき山も　みつからなかった。

Days later, Aya went 

searching again.

She couldn't fined the flowers, or Lady.

Still, she wasn't discouraged.

けれども　あやは、　そのあと、　ときどき、

「あっ！　いま　花さき山で、　おらの　花が　さいているな」って

おもうことが　あった。

Because every time Aya does 

something good, she thinks to herself,

"Maybe I just made a new flower on Heartbloom Hill."

よいおこないと

わるいおこないが

一色単になってしまっている今世

本当に目に見えているものすら

信じられない世の中

本当に信じられるのは

自分の心の中とその行い。

一つでもお花を咲かせられる人生にしていきたいですね♡

今日は年末ということもあり読み聞かせで使える絵本を紹介していきたいと思います。

私はうそつきがとても苦手。

宣言したことを実行しない。

人に何かをしてもらってありがとうも言えない

そんな子どもに育たないようにたくさん読み聞かせをしてきました。

そんな子どもたちもどんどん大きくなり

ネットで使われている言葉を使ったり人を罵ったり

そんな時はとことん話し合います。

けれどもそれは自分の中の怒りや妬みや

その他のきれいではない感情をもう一度思い出して

洗い流すうえでもとても大切だなと思います。

今日は少し難しい単語が出てきたみんなおなじみのガラガラドンのお話です。

幼稚園では劇をやったりしてとても人気のある絵本です☆

この時点でおや？という感じです。

ガラガラドンとは？

Billy というのは愛称ビリー　Billy the kid（William H Bonney）　1859-81 米国西部の無法者でピストルの名手

彼のように勇ましく強そうなというイメージでしょうか？

Once on a time there were three billy goats who were to go up to the hillside to make themselves fat,and the name of all three was "Gruff."

むかし、三びきの　やぎが　いました。なまえは、どれも　がらがらどん　といいました。

あるとき、やまの　くさばで　ふとろうと、やまへ

のぼっていきました。

On the way up was a bridge over a river they had to cross, and under the bridge lived a great ugly troll eyes as big as saucers and a nose as long as a poker.

のぼる　とちゅうの　たにがわに　はしが　あって、

そこを　わたらなければなりません。　はしの　したには、

きみのわるい　おおきな　トロルが　すんでいました。

ぐりぐりめだまは　さらのよう、つきでた　はなは　ひかきぼうのようでした。

So first all came the yougest Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge.

"Trip,trap! trip, trap!"went the bridge.

さて　はじめに、いちばん　ちいさいやぎの

がらがらどんが　はしを　わたりに　やってきました。

かた　こと　かた　こと　と、はしが　なりました。

"Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll.

"Oh, it is only I, the tiniest Billy

Goat Gruff, and I'm going up to the hillside to make myself fat,"

said the billy goat with such a small voice.

"Now, I'm coming to gobble you up!" said the troll.

「だれだ、おれの　はしを　かたことさせるのは」と

トロルが　どなりました。

「なに、ぼくですよ。いちばん　ちびやぎの

がらがらどんです。やまへ　ふとりに

いくところです」と、そのやぎは　とても　

ちいさい　こえで　いいました。

「ようし、きさまを　ひとのみにしてやろう」

と、トロルが　いいました。

”Oh, no! pray don't take me. I'm too little, that I am," said the billy goat.

"What a bit till the second Billy Goat Gruff comes. He's much bigger."

"Well! be off with you," said the troll.

「ああ　どうか　たべないでください。　ぼくは　こんなに

ちいさいんだもの」と、やぎは　いいました。「すこし　まてば、二ばんやぎの　がらがらどんが　やってきます。ぼくより

ずっと　おおきいですよ」

「そんなら　とっとと　いってしまえ！」と、トロルは　いいました。

A little while after came the second Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge.

!Trip,trap!trip,trap!trip, trap!"

went the bridge.

しばらくして、二ばんやぎの　がらがらどんが

はしをわたりに　やってきました。

がた　ごと　がた　ごと　と、はしが　なりました。

"Who's that tripping over my bridge?"roared the troll.

!Oh, it's the second Billy Goat Gruff,

and I'm going up to the hillside to make myself fat," said the billy goat,

and his voice was not so small.

「だれだ、おれの　はしを　がたごとさせるのは」と、トロルが

どなりました。

「ぼくは　二ばんめやぎの　がらがらどん、やまへ

ふとりにいくところだ」と、その　やぎは　いいました。

まえの　やぎほど　ちいさいこえではありません。

"Now, I'm coming to gobble you up!" said the troll.

「ようし、きさまを　ひとのみにしてやるぞ」と、

トロルが　いいました。

"Oh, no! don't take me. Wait a little till the big Billy Goat Gruff comes.

He's much bigger." 

"Very well! Be off with you," said the troll.

「おっと　たべないでおくれよ。すこし　まてば、

おおきいやぎの　がらがらどんが　やってくる。

ぼくより　ずっと　おおきいよ」

「そうか、そんなら　とっとと　きえうせろ」と

トロルが　いいました。

Just then, up came the big Billy Goat Gruff.

"T-r-i-p,t-r-a-p!T-r-i-p,t-r-a-p! T-r-i-p,t-r-a-p!"

went the bridge , for the billy goat was so heavy that the bridge creak and groaned under him.

"Who's that tramping over my bridge?" roared the troll.

"Well, come along! I've got two spears,

And I'll poke your eyeballs out at yours ears.

I've got besides two great big stones,

And I'll crush you to bits, body and bones."

ところが　そのとき、もう　やってきたのが

おおきいやぎの　がらがらどん。

がたん、ごとん、がたん、ごとん、

がたん、ごとん、がたん、ごとん　と、はしが

なりました。あんまり　やぎが　おもいので、

はしが　きしんだり　うなったりしたのです。

がたぴしさせる　やつは」と、

トロルがどなりました。

「おれだ！

おおきいやぎの　

がらがらどんだ！」

と、やぎは　いいました。それは

ひどく　しゃがれた　がらがらごえでした。

「ようし、それでは　ひとのみにしてくれるぞ！」

と、トロルがどなりました。

「さあこい！　こっちにゃ　二ほんの　やりが　ある。

これで　めだまは　でんがくざし。

おまけに、おおきな　いしも　二つある。にくも　ほねも

こなごなに　ふきくだくぞ！」

That was what the billy goat said;
and so he flew at the troll, and 

poked his eyes out with his horns,

and crushed him to bits, body and bones, and tossed him into the river

Then he went up to the hissside.

こう、おおきいやぎが　いいました。

そして　トロルに　とびかかると、つので

めだまをくしざしに、ひづめて　にくも

ほねも　こっぱみんじんにして、とろるを

たにかわへ　つきおとしました。

それから　やまへ　のぼっていきました。

There the billy goats got so fat they were scarce able to walk again;

and if the fat hasn't fallen off them,why they're still fat ; and so-

"Snip, snap,snout.

This tale's told out."

やぎたちは　とても　ふとって、うちへ　あるいてかえるのも

やっとのこと。もしも　あぶらが　ぬけてなければ、まだ

ふとっているはずですよ。そこでー

チョキン、パチン、ストン。

はなしはおしまい。

好きこそものの上手なれ What you likes, you will do well.

英語を話すいちばんの目的は何といっても
「伝えたいこと、話したいことを話す」
ですよね♡　その言いたい一言が
別のニュアンスで伝わらないように
その思いが上達の秘訣だと自負しています( *´艸｀)
このことを第一に授業でも取り入れられれば
本当に最高だなと思います。

その他にもたくさん表現があると思います。
言葉の文をいじればいじるほど味わいが出てくるのは
英語も日本語も一緒なのでしょう。
新しい言葉は今この一瞬にも生み出されていることと思います。

Addict は　麻薬や酒などに依存するという言語から来ているため取り上げるのをやめました。Mad よりも強い意味になると思います。

英語は初めの二文字に意味が込められています。
AD―　方向、変化、付加、完成、開始、単なる強意
IN―　位置、活動、環境、後ろの語彙の反転
CO―　共同、共通、相互、同程度など

キーボードの配列に関してもタイピングが英語でしやすいようになっています。
実際に英語をタイプしてみると大変滑らかに打点が運ばれていくのを実感できます。
また前後のアルファベットに関しても実は決まりがあって絶対に来ない文字というのが確定しています。これも大変興味深いですよね🌸

Ghost Tempura

Bunny loves eating more than anything.
“I think I’ll hop up to the mountains to pick some blades of grass.
They’ll be tasty in a salad.
Or, maybe they’d be better in miso soup.”

うさこはたべることがだいすきです。
「きょうはやまへくさつみにいこう。
　サラダにしようかな。
それともおみおつけがいいかな・・・。」

“What are you eating , Kitten?
It looks great!”
“Stop staring into mu lunch box!
It’s tempura.”

「あれ！こねこくん　なに　たべてるの？
　おいしそうね」
「いやだ！　のぞきこんじゃあ
　おべんとうの　おかずは　
　てんぷらだよ」

“Oh come on, just give me a bite,”
Said bunny while helping herself.
“Wow, It’s delicious!”

“Okay, you can have a bite,”

“I’m going to make a big batch of tempura.

I used up all my allowance, but who cares!”

The smell of frying tempura had drifted all the way 
Up the mountain to the home of the ghost.

“Well, well, what could that exquisite aroma be?”

To shrink, Beroberoba!”

Bunny dips the jumping thing into the oil.

神さまからいただいた一番大切なもの

英語の授業を楽しみに毎日あれこれ検索して

毎日を過ごしています。

最近とても空が綺麗で夜も昼もうっとりしながら眺めています。

さて、今回は六年生の英語の教材、ユニット５We all live on the earth.のお話と

出会った本の紹介をしていきたいと思います。

絶滅危惧種に指定されている環境省からの情報によれば

最新のThe Red List Book は２０２０年のものになります。

私たちの身近な動物たちが絶滅危惧種に指定されています。

例えば一番身近なところでいうとメダカがいます。

昔はあちらこちらに生息していたメダカですが、

田んぼや畦道がなくなったことで個体数が減ったといわれています。

ミナミメダカを覚えておいてくださいね。

他には有名な動物でいうと

レッサーパンダ（Red　Panda）

シロサイ

ソデクロツル

ホッキョクグマ

ワオキツネザル

マナティ

ワモンアザラシ

バク

アジアゾウ

エジプトリクガメ

パンダ

などがあげられます。

実際に動物の食べ物や住むところをこのユニットでは勉強してきました。

Panda　live in the forest.

最後は古今東西ゲームでこのクイズを出して勝敗を決めるゲームをしました。

すらすらと文章が出てくる子供たちは本当にすごいなと思います。

この単元では単数形、複数形に少しだけ触れました。

Fish やJellyfish、Sheepは複数形になりません。

その他octpusはoctopiと可愛くなるので紹介しました。

前置詞on in under line をジェスチャーで教えます。

地上に立っている私たちはon

水の中にいるマナティたちはin 

マスクで通常言えて伝えられている言葉がなかなか聞き取れない、

相手の言っていることがわからないなど、様々な困難を乗り越えながら

授業を行っています。　これ以上本当に子どもたちには我慢をさせないでほしいと切に願います。

最近私は聖書の詩編にようやく辿り着き、

毎日心洗われる気持ちで深く読みふけっています。

このような言葉が

心から湧き上がってくる人は

いったいどのような心持でおられるのか

いったい彼らにとっての神さまは

どんな存在で

神さまからどれくらいの距離で

生活しておられたのだろうか。

一心に神さまだけを祈り求め

感謝し、賛美することは

永遠に神さまを御旨に感じ

絶え間なく湧き出てくる神さまへの思いを

書き留めておられたのだろうか

読み手が涙を流すときは

書き手も必ず涙を流していると聞きます。

この溢れる感情を

とこしえに神さまだけに向けられますように

全知全能の神さまからこの世が誕生し

神さまの息が届く空間から地上が生れ

神さまはこの世界の全てを見ておられる。

どうかその目線に誰もが気が付き畏れ敬うことができますように。

全ての人が神さまに感謝し、賛美することができますように。

いい授業とは？ 毎日コツコツと・・・

いい授業とは。。

みんなが楽しいと思う授業

みんながわかる授業

いい授業を行うために日々模索しています。
やはり分かりやすいセンテンスということで授業内では
教科書で使用されているダイアログを重点的にT1,T2で繰り返し

スモールトークをして定着するように努めています。

子ども達で時間を決めてサインをもらうやり方が一番盛り上がります。

女子2名、男子2名でサインをもらってねって言っています。

（そうすると先生は女子でいいですかとしゃべってくれる子も居て可愛い）
そしてそのあと、ゲームの中で取り入れる工夫をしています。

日常生活の中でto do something /daily routineをやろうと思っています。

幸いにも学校にこのカードが山ほどあるので一人一枚を使って

質問する内容は同じにしてぶつかった人と時間までおしゃべりします。

I 〇〇　at 7. ‘ o’clock!

などなど。

先日アメリカから帰国の外国の生徒から

I live in Ueno Tokyo.

の時は東京の前にin をまた入れない方が自然かなと話がありましたので

そうやってカンマを入れて略す時もあるよね。両方正解です。

と話しておきました。

子どもたちはたくさんの気づきがあり、

面白いな、不思議だなと思うことがあります。

その一つでも手助けになればいいなと思っています。

今回はあともう二時間のみの授業になり、

生徒たちが一年間英語に慣れ親しみみんなが行ってきたことの証しとして

なかなか自分を肯定し自分の長所を並べることって

でも海外に出ていくと

自分を紹介する場面がたくさんあります。

それは長所でなくても、自分の好きなもの。

今夢中になっているもの。面白いエピソード。なんでもいいんです。

自分という人間が与えるインパクトのあるものをお話することで

相手に自分という人間をインプットしてもらい、そこで生活する様々な情報を

呼びかけが用意されているところも多いのではないでしょうか？

しかしこのコロナでその呼びかけすら中止になってしまったりなど

あるかと思います。

そこで、とりあえず英語の授業の中で

呼びかけをして行けたらよいなと思って今回は卒業式の呼びかけをイメージして

可愛い絵本の読み聞かせの時間があと少しになってしまいました。
