The cooking of the day is TFC, Tatz Fried Chiken.
It is so sad that there is not so many KFC in San Francisco. You know what there are so many KFCs in Tokyo, even one per each train stop.
Today's goal: Make TFC as good as KFC, or better than...
Anyway, my recipe is simple and it is easy for everyone.
Ingredients: (for 4 people, 12 pcs)
Drumstick: 8 pcs
Thighs: 4 pcs
Flour: 400g
Eggs: 3 pcs
Black pepper (coarsely gound)
Garlic salt
Oil (Corn oil): 1 litter
Let's give it a try.
Recipe
1. Put salt and black pepper on chikens (thighs and drumsticks) and Rub the surfaces. The qualntity would be aound 5g per pepper and garlic salt in my case
2. Put flour in the bowl with salt and black pepper. (10g for salt and 10g for pepper) and mix them
3. Place another bowl, put eggs in it and mix them well
4. Put the chikens in to eggs and cover with mixed eggs
5. After 4, put the chikens into flour bowl and cover with flours
6. Repeat 4 and 5
7. Boil the oil in the pan. Be careful not to make the temperature high. Just keep it low temperature
(If you want to check the temperature, put a small mess of flour in the biled oil. It is ok if it takes 5 seconds for the flour mess to come up on the oil slowly once after it is sinked)
8. Put chikens covered with flour into boiled oil
9. Slowly fry them
10. Slowly, slowly...
11. Wait for its color to turn brown. (It is not yet if it is still yellow)
12. Pick up chikens
13. Done
So, the finised chikens are....
