"Hey, Guess what?"

"What?," I assume you are not bored.Let me talk about my frustration regarding my name. But don't take it too hard. Justrelax!!!Many people who speak English as the first language are not able to pronounce my lastname correctly. It is because of the "R" sound they are creating. Many times, I've been called, "Tfrocca," "Psryoska," and things like that. It soundslike a Russian name. Who am I?? The pronounciation is too far from the right one. Mine is not too common but Japanese!!!!!As an example, today, I had a conversation with American ladies in 20's about a concertof "Madonna" where it took place in Tokyo Dome. Then, suddenly, one of them asked me,"How long have you been in the U.S.?" I replied, "For six years." "There you go. Whichcity? 'cause you have a strong American accent," and so on...Actually, I felt glad with the good conversation, but instead, I'm tired of what's tocome next because I can expect them to ask my name which they can't pronounce correctly. Here they come!!! This is the boring moment for me to hear. "What's your name?" As Imentioned before, their tongues were in big trouble after they heard my name!!! I knewhow it went!!!"O.K. Let's make it simple. Can I call you Rocca if you wouldn't mind, of course?," they said.I wouldn't say "No" but am not satisfied, of course. This time, my name becomes "Rocca." "Good to see you, good to see you to all...Ha,Ha,Ha."I know it's not a serious problem, but, Do you have the same kind of experience? Andguess my last name if you could imagine, hee,hee,hee....
