Until I get back into the stride of regular r... Until I get back into the stride of regular rides, 2.5 miles in the morning before work is good for me. My goal is within 15-20 days make the 5.5 mile ride a regular morning thing then expand from there as I get more comfortable. Ultimate goal is 20-30 miles in the morning. Where I live there are limited areas to ride that are bicycle safe, the city of #Louisville only supports #bicycling safety in their downtown areas not the rest of the metro/suburban market that also pays city taxes. I regularly have to dodge bad drivers, there are no bike lanes or even sidewalks in the more sketchy roads areas. People throwing stuff at me, at least until they see a gun pointing back at them, then they realize it's not a smart thing to harass bicyclists since you never know who is carrying personal protection on them.
