これは、今から９年も前に書いた記事ですがいまだにこの狭い小屋で趣味の工作を続けています。
今回は私の作業小屋が如何に狭いかが解る写真を掲載します。アメリカなどの裕福なマニアたちは大きなゆったりした作業小屋を持っていて大型の旋盤やフライス盤などの工作機械を十分なスペースで配置しています。中には飛行機なども作ってしまう人が居るくらいです。それに比べて（比べようもないが）私の作業小屋は如何に狭いか！。私が小屋の中に入ると他の人は入れません。たとえ入ったとしても作業することはできません。広さは（狭さはと言うべきか？）は４平米です、１坪より0.76平米だけ広い！この中に卓上旋盤２台、卓上フライス盤１台、ボール盤１台、卓上バンドソー１台、糸鋸盤１台、高速カッター１台、卓上鋸盤１台、ベルトサンダー２台、小型シャーリング１台、グラインダー3台、そのほかの電動工具は振動ドリル、ハンマードリル、オービタルサンダー、電動鉋、充電ドリル４台、電動ドリル４台、電動ほぞ切機１台、その他にハンマー１０本、のみ、手鉋、鋸、ドライバー、ニッパー、ペンチ、巻尺、各種のネジ、ボルト、半田、などなどまだまだあります。この他に小屋には入れられない大型のバンドソー、シャーリングなどがあります。本当に狭い小屋です。、、、しかしながら、これでもないよりはよっぽどましだと思います。こんな小屋でも（こんな狭い小屋だからこそ）これを羨ましいと思う方が多いのは事実です。狭いことも原因だったと思いますがメタノールなどの誤飲や怪我などをしないように十分に注意してこれからも工作を楽しんで行きたいと思います。

In America some wealthy people have a very large work shop and they have an enough space to alocate big machines such as lathe and milling machine, etc. Some can even make a real sized airplane in their work shop. Comparing with those big work shop I think how my work shop is narrow ! I should say it is impossible to campare with those big ones. Ha Ha Ha ! When I am working in my narrow space no one can get in to my shop or if some one get in with me we can not do anything at all. However, I have two small desktop lathes, small milling machine, belt sanders. drilling machines, bending machine shearing machine, planers, hummers, pinches, files,and other many kind of miscellaneous tools. And also I have another big band saw and big shearing machine but those are too big then I store them in my back yard of my house. My work shop is only about 4 square meters. However,even such a narrow space I can enjoy making many things and even so it is envy of some of my friends. I ｗｉｌｌ keep on working and enjoying in my small work shop and I think I have to take care of myself to do not have any accident in the shop.
