10th Australian Kumdo Competition
Yesterday I had to get up at 6:30am just so that we could get to Macquarie University early enough to be able to find seats to watch the kumdo competition. *sigh* I'm really surprised that I was willing to get up so early because usually I would wake up early for absolutely NOTHING!!!The competition was fun to watch in a way. It was only fun when I had someone to cheer on hence during the later stages of the dan matches where all the people left were people I didn't know, I started to get all tired.
The finals were quite intense to watch. I think I was probably more nervous than the actual players. I was so happy and proud when Louis-senpai won the kyu individual match *jumps up and down and screams* Also I found my idol for kendo at the competition as well. Her name is Vivian and she plays for UNSW. If you just watch her play you would never guess that she's a girl because she's so aggressive. I hope that one day I can become just like her *nods*.
Sadly this year our dan team didn't win the competition. I felt so angry and depressed. At that moment when we lost I felt my eyes go watery but I managed to control myself because I really didn't want to cry in front of everyone. *sigh*
Anyways after the competition we took a few group pictures which was nice. It helped some what reduce the amount of depression I was feeling. Love the kendo family so much *hugs and kisses*
