能登半島地震被災者支援

私とアメリカ人のパートナーは輪島が大好き。 

輪島の伝統と美しい自然の調和。 

輪島塗りなどの職人技が息づく歴史と

壮大な日本海や棚田の美しい景色が織りなす

独特の魅力にわたくし達はすっかり魅せられて

これまで 3度も当地を訪れました。

その都度、きときとのお料理に舌鼓を打ち、輪島塗も購入。

ニューヨークに持ち帰り、

料理用の器として毎日のように使い、

装飾品としても我が家のリビングルームに

飾っております。 

そんな輪島を襲った、地震、水害など数々の自然災害は、

わたくし達にとっても、どれほど悲しかった事でしょう。 

そこで、１１月の日本ツアーの売り上げの一部を

能登半島地震被災者支援として

寄付させて頂く事に致しました。  

微力ですが少しでもお力になれればという思いで

支援させて頂く事を決めました。

My American husband and I love Wajima. Wajima's traditions and natural beauty are in harmony. We have visited Wajima three times, and each time we have enjoyed the quiet beauty of the town, the cuisine of Kittokito and we have purchased Wajima lacquerware. We brought it back to New York and use it every day for cooking, and also display pieces in our living room as decoration. We were so saddened by the earthquake, flooding, and other natural disasters that hit Wajima.  We have decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from my Japan tour in November to support the victims of the Noto Peninsula earthquake.  We do this even if it is only a small contribution.
