４月1６日 小学校訪問だぞ
↑When I left Vava’u High-School’s guest house in the morning, Talahiva and Seini who are the science team of CDU came. They will give a workshop next Monday. Good-luck and see you next week at CDU.
朝、ババウ高校のゲストハウスを出る時に、talahivaさんとseiniさんに会った。来週月曜日に理科のワークショップを開くらしい。がんばってね～。来週CDUで会いましょう！
↑I went to some schools to meet teachers who got a good mark at my workshop. First, I visited GPS Toula to meet the teacher Koila.
今日はいくつかの学校を訪れ、ワークショップでよい点数を取った先生を訪ねた。まずGPS Toulaへ行きkoila先生に会った。
↑His students are well-mannered. While I was teaching new skills to Koila, the school’s officer Pungatoa and Sione were looking after the students.
彼の生徒達はとてもしつけが行き届いている。torojiro先生が新しい技術をkoila先生に教えている間、スクールズオフィサーのpungatoaさんとsioneさんが子ども達を見ていてくれた。
↑On the way to the next school, we found a tiny car. “It’s for a tourist” Sione said.
次の学校へ行く途中かわいらしい車を発見！sioneさんいわく、観光客用だそうです。
↑This is the scenery from the bridge which is located between the main island and Pangaimotu Island.
メインの島とpangaimotu島を結ぶ橋からの景色。
↑We visited GPS ‘Utungake to meet Olimipa and Siunipa. Their fingering was almost perfect. The next step is to learn how to calculate 2 digits multiplied by 2 digits and 4 digits divided by 2 digits.
‘Utungake小学校にolimipa先生とsiunipa先生を訪ねていった。指使いはほぼ完璧なので、次は２桁×２桁、４桁÷２桁の計算方法を覚えることですね。
↑Around Pangaimotu Island, there are playground equipments in some schools. I think it’s rare in Tonga. Pungatoa said these were from New Zealand as donations.
ｐangaimotu島付近では、いくつかの学校に校庭遊具があった。これは珍しい。Pungatoaさんはニュージーランドからの寄付だと言っていた。
↑We went to the end of Pangaimotu Island. This is Nga’unoho beach. How beautiful it is!
Pangaimotu島の先まで行きました。ここはｎｇａ‘ｕｎｏｈｏビーチ。めっちゃキレイ！

↑If there were no coconut trees, the scenery would be similar to Japan.
椰子の木が無かったら、この景色は日本に似ているんだけどなぁ。
This time I taught 3 teachers directly and I distributed level 7 questions to few teachers. If some teachers clear level 7 the teacher may go to Japan to participate in an abacus camp. I expect that some of Vava’u teachers can go to Japan and be a leader of abacus education.
今回３人の先生に直接指導して、何人かの先生に７級の問題を配った。もし７級をクリアすれば日本のそろばんキャンプに参加できるかも知れない。ババウの先生で誰か日本に行き、そろばん教育のリーダーになってくれることを期待しています。
↑When I went back to Tongatapu, it was a connecting flight so I could visit Ha’apai, though I stayed only 40 minutes.
トンガタプへの帰り、経由便だったのでハアパイ寄った。まぁ４０分だけの滞在だけどね～。
