今日紹介する本 (2018年に映画化された) は、
「ワンダー 君は太陽」です。
<あらすじ>
オーガスト・ポールマン、通称オーギーは染色体異常のため、人とは違った顔をしている。手術が多かったため、家でしか勉強したことがなかったが、母はオーギーに学校に通って友達を作って欲しい希望を叶えるために、5年生の時に学校に通うことになった。最初は周りの子に顔のことをいじられたり、避けられていた。もともと引きこもり体質だった彼は、学校に来ることで外交的になっていった。そんな彼に周りのクラスメートたちも影響を受けていく。
ワンダーは家族や友達の愛が詰まった本。感動的で見事な結末が待っている。

<感想>
個人的にはファンタジーやディストピアが好きなので、今まで読んだ本の中でのトップではなかったです。しかし、主人公が魅力的だったため、時間が過ぎるのも気づかないぐらい早く読み終えました。この本は複数の登場人物の一人称視点で話が進んでいきます。伏線が少ないため話についていきやすく、読みやすいです。この本はとても感動的なので読む機会があれば読んでほしいと思います。

August Pullman who is 10 years old and is often called "Auggie", has a facial deformity because of chromosomal abnormality and have done many surgeries. He had to stay in hospitals when he was little thus he was homeschooled. However his mother wanted him to go to school and make friends. So from fifth grade he dicides to go to school. His look is often shocked by people because of his face and he is always confronted by that reality. Will he be able to make friends? Can the people around him learn to see past his appearance?
This story is narrated by not only August but his older sister, his classmates and other people in his life. Read this beautiful, brilliant and very sensitive family and friends love story that will surprise you with a sparkling ending.

<Opinion>
I am going to state my opinion. I usually read science fiction, fantasy and dystopian books thus Wonder was not the best book I have ever read. However I was very charmed and fascinated by the main character Auggie. Also this book is narrated by not only August but by his classmates and family thus it was intresting to look at how others thought and felt about Auggie. I enjoyed reading this book and read it in a day, I was moved by the book. I really hope you have a chance to read this book.
