The other day, I went to Shinjuku to watch a play in English.
先日、新宿に英語の劇を観に行きました。
It was a children's musical for foreigners which was called the "Snow Queen".

There were a few Japanese and most of the other guests were native speakers' family members.
お客さんは、日本人は数人で、あとはネイティブスピーカーの家族がほとんどでした。
Actually, I went there by myself.
実は、一人で参戦しました。
I enjoyed the show a lot, but I was able to understand the English story about 50%. haha
ショーは楽しかったですが、でも、英語のストーリーを理解できたのは50％くらいかな。😅
I didn't have any background information about the show, luckily, the original story was based on Andersen.
ラッキーなことに、このお話はアンデルセンが元になっていました。
When I heard about a little boy named 'Kai', it reminded me of the fairy-tale!
「カイ」という少年の名前を聞いた時、その童話を思い出しました！
I read the book a long time ago, so my memory was blurry, but it still helped me to understand what was going on.
ずいぶん前に読んだので記憶が曖昧だったけど、それでも内容を理解するのに役立ちました。
I had a lovely time.
