International-standard chiropractic care
Some people who are new to chiropractic care may be apprehensive about what chiropractic care is like at our clinic. If you have had chiropractic treatment before at other clinics, you may also be concerned about the differences among chiropractic clinics, so we will introduce the procedure of our chiropractic carebelow.First of all, the characteristics of our chiropractic treatment are as follows. Chiropractic care providedin a specialized chiropractic clinic: Our clinic does not mix chiropractic with other healthcareprofessionals(e.g. seitai, judo-bone setting, physiotherapy, massage, etc.) or private therapies, and we have been providing international-standardchiropractic care since 1949 in a clinic (office) that specializes in chiropractic. Providing international standard chiropractic care: After graduating from American and Australian universities that offer international standard chiropractic education and obtaining professional licenses, our staffprovide general chiropractic care in countries that have legalized chiropractic care. In Japan, chiropractors are not granted the right of diagnosis, so when chiropractic care is not indicated (contraindicated), we refer patients to our affiliated medical clinics. Providing healthcare that includes not only symptoms but also health management: In addition to improving symptoms, we also provide healthcare (medical care in the broad sense) that includes health management to improve quality of life (QOL) in daily life. We offer suggestions on how to review daily habits such as sleep, diet, and exercise, as well as how to deal with stress. Here is the procedureof chiropractic treatment at our clinic.①Reception DeskFirst, you will fill out a patient healthquestionnaire at the reception desk. After that, your name will be called in the waiting room, and you will change into a special chiropractic gown in the changing room.②History TakingWe will ask you detailed questions about your health conditions. We will also ask about your symptoms, areas and conditions of pain or problems, and your lifestyle. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your chiropractor.③ExaminationPostural balance, palpation, muscular, neurological, and orthopedic examinations are performed to determine the location of pain or problems and movement of the spine. If necessary, X-ray or MRI images will also be consulted by affiliated medical clinics. The examination will also determine whether or not the treatment is indicated, and if contraindicated, a visit to a medical clinicwill be recommended.④TreatmentA special chiropractic table is used in treatment. This allows the patient to assume a comfortable position. Even in cases of severe pain, such as an acute lower back condition, thetable allows the patient to lie down without bending at the back.⑤AdvicesChiropractic care is safe for children and the elderly. We also provide taping and rehabilitation services for those with sports injuries. After the treatment, we will give you advice on your future treatment plan, stretching exercises you can do at home, posture, sleep, diet, and exercises.
