Watch: “The Unit” Shows Glimpse Of Emotional First Eliminations In New Preview
“The Unit” will be sending home its first eliminated contestants in the next episode, and the show has revealed a preview of how the eliminations will be announced.
The idol rebooting show has eliminated 36 contestants (18 female and 18 male contestants), and the December 9 episode will reveal which idols will not be continuing in the competition.
However, rather than reveal the names of the eliminated contestants during an announcement ceremony with everyone present, the preview shows how Rain will be giving envelopes with the names to each of the mission group leaders, who are given the task of telling their group members themselves.
In the preview, the news that the leaders will be taking on the responsibility of announcing who is eliminated shocks the contestants. We then see glimpses of the emotional and tearful scenes as the leaders sadly break the news to their groups.

前回、男女ともにグループに分かれて、ミッションしていましたけど、そのグループのリーダーが、レイン氏に封筒を手渡されて、、、自分のグループの脱落者へ、リーダーとしてその事実を伝えないといけない、という、なんとも非情な手段です｡:ﾟ(｡ﾉω＼｡)ﾟ･｡ ｳﾜｧｰﾝ
脱落した本人はもちろんのこと、リーダーも辛いよね(＞_＜)

Watch: “MIXNINE” Drops Nerve-Wracking Preview Of First Round Of Eliminations
As previously announced, JTBC survival show “MIXNINE” will be eliminating 71 contestants during its first round of eliminations on the next episode.
The newly released clip shows a preview of the first official ranking ceremony, where the top nine contestants will be announced along with the elimination of 71 contestants. Out of the 170 participants, those placing No. 100 to No. 170 will be sent home.
Yang Hyun Suk comments that there are many contestants who will go home despite winning the position battle. To the male team that had performed BTOB’s “It’s Okay,” he reveals that seven out of the eight participants will be eliminated.
The next episode of “MIXNINE” will be airing on December 10 at 4:50 p.m. KST.
