まず、設問の選択肢A～Dを見ると、こんなふうになっています。
問：「このメールの最大の目的は何でしょうか？」
（A）技術部との新たなミーティングをとりつけること。
（B）Peter Bodellさんを紹介すること。
（C）Advantage社とのミーティングの補足をすること。
（D）Optimum社のこれまでのソフトウェア開発について説明すること。
うーん、どれもありそうな感じがしますね・・・。
メールの中でPeterという人物が紹介されているので(B)のような感じもします。でも、(C)や(D)の内容も漠然としていて、正解なのか間違いなのかよく分かりません。（なお、Advantage社というのはメール受信者、Optimum社というのはメール送信者の会社ですね。）
そんなときは、「★このサイトを活用した効果的な学習法★ 」のステップ②を思い出してください。
“TOEICの問題は「英文の情報を言い換えているもの」が正解になります。「常識的に考えて、それっぽいな」というものを選んでしまうと失敗しますので、気をつけて。”
また、ステップ③では次のような事実を紹介しました。
“TOEICで高得点が取れる人は、このような英文であっても「誰が」「何を」の部分を適切に見抜くことができます。”
これを踏まえて、いつものように名詞句を簡略化してみましょう。即解プロセスをマスターすることで、英文の見え方がどう変わるか、疑似体験していただきたいと思います。

②では、ミーティングを踏まえて次にやるべきことを整理しているようです。（[私たち]は[用途の拡張]をしたい・・・とあります。）

⑤は、単なる締めくくりの言葉ですね。
この①～⑤をまとめると、このメールでは、「昨日のミーティングを振り返って、追加の情報を伝えたうえで、重要なことを再確認している」といえます。
「ミーティングの振り返り」＋「追加情報」＋「重要なことの再確認」＝？
この3つの要素をあわせると、「昨日のミーティングの補足をしている」と言えるでしょう。このことがスピーディーに把握できれば、正解の選択肢をえらぶことは簡単なはずです。
