JPY 3,843) ＝3,843円というのは、any US shipping, as well as program fees, third-party international shipping charges, fuel surcharges, processing and handling fees, applicable customs duties, taxes, and third-party brokerageを含んでいるらしい。これなら日本のユーザーはeBayとPayPalのアカウントがあれば、安心してワンクリックでeBayからモノが買える。また、セラーに課金される落札手数料は、Your final value fee is based on the item cost plus the cost of shipping to the US shipping centerと、商品とUS国内輸送費に対してのみだから、セラーも安心して海外販売ができる。
この辺の安心感と利便性をeBayが日本で本気でアピール始めたら、既存の輸入代行業者は不要になるし、日本のEC業者にとっても黒船になるな。
