ロッド・スチュワートの１９７６年の大ヒットアルバム「Ｎight on The Tonw」に収録されていたロックンロールナンバーです。
個人的に、ロッドの曲の中でも最も好きな曲の一つなのですが、歌詞はよくわかっていませんでした。
今回翻訳してみて、初めて意味を知りました・・・。

この曲、女性目線の曲なのか、男性目線の曲なのか・・・
それで随分印象が違ってきますが・・・。
女性目線の曲ならば、恋人がゲイの世界にハマってしまって嘆いている・・・といった内容になるし。
男性目線の曲ならば、ゲイの恋人にふられた曲・・・て事になります。
恐らくは後者の方だと思います。
ロッドの曲で女性目線の曲って・・・記憶にありません。
そして、この時期ロッドは「Killing Of George」というゲイの友人の事を唄った曲を発表しています。
女好きで有名だったロッドですが、この時期、同性愛にもハマってたのかも知れません。
この曲、ずーっとカッコイイ曲だなあって思ってたんだけど、こんな深い内容の曲だったとは・・・。
でも同じ女好きだけど、同性愛は理解できんなあ・・・ｗ
