I was supposed to see this guy, who I just call him here “a punk rock guy (PRG)”, this week but it seems like he’s busy so that it is not gonna happen. It’s still okay because there’s no reason we have to be in a hurry.
It just occurred me about the dialogue we had last time we met.
I heard from him that a friend of his, who I know too, got married recently.
He is a sound guy and also a bouncer at a club at Red River, and PRG was playing in his band so that I asked him how the band was doing.
PRG goes,
“Oh btw, he is married now”.
So I go,
“Oh really? I didn’t know that he had a girlfriend.”
Then he goes.
“She is a typical punk rock girl-muscle and missing teeth”
WAIT A MIN.
I go,
“Wait, what do you mean by that? Missing teeth is typical for punk rock girls??” Why??
He goes,
“Yeah so typical. They lost teeth because of the fights during the show”
I go,
“Jesus”
The "missing teeth" here means that cracked teeth (tooth). They beat up each other with fists so that of course teeth can get damaged.
I guess I am still new to the music culture here in US (or Austin).
