Just random thoughts.

While playing the Wii bowling at work, MM and I got to talk about rabies.

MM and I are always fooling around each other, btw.

Me
"Oh don't try to bite me! Have you had the shots this year already?!"

MM
"Not yet"

Me
"So you have rabies."

MM
"I might"

Me
"Oh you know what? The percentage of death for rabies is 100%"

MM
"No, shit. In fact they would put you in the Milwaukee protocol"

Me
"WTF is that? Is that something to do with Jeffry dahmer?"

MM
"Well, it's a new treatment for rabies"

It seems like there's a cure for rabies. Technology and medical go advanced further and further each year.

Me
"So, what does that treatment do?"

MM
"They put you in a coma."

Coma? Seriously?

Then my turn was up so that it was the end of the conversation, sorta.

She googled it and told me about what exactly the protocol does, but I wasn't really listening to her since I was so concentrated hitting the strike for the bowling game.

Later on, it just occurred me to think about the treatment.

Before I googled it by myself, I imaged that it sounded like the movie "Vanilla Sky". Although you've been dead and been frozen to wait the technology catches up to develop the way to be immoral, the way to fix the significant damage of human tissue, "death" or whatsoever, while you're having the lucid dreams.

However, I discovered that the Milwaukee protocol is nothing like that. They put the patient in a come in order to avoid his/her brain damage because the brain failure is the cause of the death from rabies. While the patient is in coma, they give some medication and wait his/her body to respond depending on the immune system. That is my understanding.

Anyway, that would be great if they also give you the opportunities to have a lucid dream while you're under the treatment coma.

Just saying.
