七夕は輝く2つの星、アルタイルとベガにまつわる中国の伝説に由来します。
織女星ベガとけん牛星アルタイルは互いに愛し合っていました。一緒にいるとあまりに楽しくて、2人は真面目に働かなくなりました。
天帝は怒って、2人を天の川によって離れ離れにしました。天帝は1年に1度、7月7日の夜だけ、2人が天の川を渡って会うことを許しました。
七夕の日は、短冊やお飾りでささの枝を飾って２人の再会を祝います。短冊に願いを書いて、ささの枝にぶらさげると、願いことが叶うと信じられています。
The Star Festival originates from Chinese legend of the two bright stars, Altair and Vega.Vega, a weaving girl, and Altair, a cowherd boy, loved each other.
