昨日の報道から僕のアタマに流れてやまない曲があります。
英国の70年代オリジナル・パンクバンドでありながら
キーボードを駆使したインテリ集団／ザストラングラーズ。
その一線を画したサウンドは初めて聞いた日から今でも聴き続けています。
この曲もリアルタイムで衝撃を受けた1979年4枚目のアルバム「ザ・レイブン」より
「ニュークリアデバイス」。
どこまで本気なのか、おちょくっているのか、、、。
少なくともザ・ストラングラーズというバンドが核爆弾に対してバカげた化学兵器という認識の元
書かれているのは理解出来ますが、彼らの歌はクラッシュとかと違ってひねくれているので
本心がどこにあるかが解りずらい所はあります。
