ストーリーは、ロマンティックなガイコツジャックが
ハロウィン村でクリスマスを開催しようと奮闘して、
おどろおどろしいものになってしまうという、
オカしくてちょっと哀しいストーリー。
バートン監督の最高傑作だと思います。

Pumpkin Patch カボチャ畑
この映画の主人公はカボチャのスケルトンジャック。
カボチャ畑がハロウィン村のこと。
海外に行くとカボチャを即売してる場所もこう言われる。
make a scene 大騒ぎをする、｢場面を演じる」
日本語では愁嘆場をさらす、とも言いますね。

ハーレクイン（ハレキン）はアルルカンとも言う悪魔の道化師

banshee アイルランド・スコット民話のバンシー：
家族に死人が出ることを泣いて予告する女の精霊
最近は banshee jumping といって４輪バイクでの
オフロードジャンプの呼び名にも使われている。
バンジージャンプ(bungee jumping)とは別物。
