The Power of BuyerQuest. Surprisingly, Cleveland has a tendency to hold its tech success stories close to the vest.

Perhaps it's our Midwestern values 2x powerful slimming of hard work and leaving our egos in the door.

But more often than not, great successes in Cleveland rarely result in the papers or the local newscasts.

Therefore it would be a thrill to meet up with Jack Mulloy, CEO of BuyerQuest, at his cool offices in Brook Park near the airport. The company has developed a stunning e-procurement software as a service (SaaS), and it has secured some gold-plated clients including Saudi Aramco, McDonald's, Steelcase, General Electric and The Home Depot. The e-procurement market is extremely competitive with Ariba (now a part of Oracle) and Coupa because the main well-financed competitors.

BuyerQuest, as given to me by Mulloy, was founded on the core belief that the enterprise procurement experience could be just as easy as utilizing an everyday B2C e-commerce shopping experience. Consider BuyerQuest as "the Amazon of corporate purchases." The BuyerQuest SaaS delivers its end-users an e-commerce shopping experience for all products or services across the enterprise. After touring the applying, I found it easier to use than Amazon.

The organization continues to be bootstrapped with all of cash from operations being invested right back in to the growth of BuyerQuest, said Mulloy, who added they are in discussions with a few big venture funds about a round of growth capital that he hopes to close on soon.

BuyerQuest is among Cleveland's next big success stories -- and it is well deserved.

Growth by Acquisition. One of Cleveland's largest and many influential tech companies , has begun to get some key strategic assets to aid its dynamic growth objectives.

MCPc is a large IT solutions and design company based in downtown Cleveland. The organization has been under the steady leadership of CEO Michael Trebilcock for several years. MCPc has generated a deep bench from it services and now is concentrating on revenue growth and employee expansion.

Recently, MCPc acquired Forquer Group out of Erie, Penn. Forquer was a small but hearty competitor of MCPc in the northern Pennsylvania marketplace. By July 1, it became MCPc Erie.

Executives at Forquer asked to attend MCPc's "Game Changer Event" - a large sales event aimed at MCPc's client base. The two management teams thought there would be some great synergies and new opportunities for the combined entities. For MCPc it acquired some brilliant technical talent and enhanced its staff augmentation service.

This is actually the third acquisition for MCPc, and that i would expect a few more targets to be brought into the MCPc fold later on. It is great to determine a Cleveland company around the acquirer side from the equation for a change.

Betchyu Launch. A couple months back I listed my top 5 software startups in Cleveland. Included in that listing was Betchyu . The app developed by the organization is all about cracking the code on motivation. Wish to lose weight? Use the app. Things to improve on an individual best magic slim diet pills while running? Make use of the app.

The app officially launches July 15 (visit the website and sign up to try it) having a party at the Market Garden Brewery in Ohio City.
