嫁さんが、今、歩きに行きました。
今朝、何年か前に買ったパックン英検のＤＶＤを発見。
英語でしゃべらないとの番組での企画。
釈由美子と、松本アナウンサー、そしてゲストに
パックンが英英辞典に書かれている単語の意味を読みます。
その単語を当てるゲーム。
パックンと松本アナウンサーの掛け合いなど楽しく見ることが出来ます。
では、その中からいくつか紹介しましょう。
1. To communicate thoughts,oponions ,or feeling by uttering with the voice.
2 Ｔｏ form a picture in your mind of what something might be like.
3. To arrange for something ,such as a table or ticket, to be ,kept for later use.
４．A tall annual plant with large yellow ray flowers and edible seeds that yield on oil.
1. speak 話す 問題文のutteringはutterで声に出すとか発するという意味。
2 imagine 想像する
3. reserve 予約するです。
予約するの言い方としては、
arrange for a ticket
reserve a ticket
reserve a tableがあります。
4.sunflower ひまわり
a tall annual plant で背の高い一年草
edible seedsで食用種
簡単な単語ほど、英英辞典での表現大事かもしれませんね。
