We(I & Megumi Katahira) returned from our tour of Myanmar. August is a heavy rainy season there. But we didn’t check such a weather. When we reached Yangon Central Station, it was so heavy.But next daytime we were lucky it was so sunny when we visited Shwe Dagon Paya. Very famous Buddhist temple and so huge. Look at a priest wearing reddish purple robe. We were very confused because he came near and put a leaf on each head and then began to chant Buddhist scriptures and gave us praying beads, fruits and sweets. We handed alms(money)to him with gratitude.We had good feeling and expected to make a nice journey！！
８月の初めにやっとこさ、ミャンマーに行った！時は、雨期で毎日びしょびしょ。シェムリアップの時も雨期だったのだけど、カンボジアとは全く違っていた。うかつだった。いつもの美女二人旅なので、ビジョビジョ！なんて言ってごまかす。
ヤンゴンで最も有名なシュエダゴオン・パヤーに参拝した時は、カーと晴れた。とても広くて、歩き疲れて休んでいると、傘をさして赤紫の僧衣のお坊さんがやってきた。
菩提樹の葉っぱを私たちの頭に載せて（頭に注目！葉っぱの線）お経を唱え始める。面食らったが、手を合わせて黙祷した。そして、自分の数珠とフルーツとお菓子をくれた。
さらにさらに、私たちはパニック！
お布施をすると、手を合わせて立ち去った。
土砂降りのヤンゴンから始まったが、いい旅になりそうな予感がした。
