終於和愛人去遊酒莊了~
因為工作和學業的關係, 選了輪近的酒莊區去
一來是度假, 二來是做實地考察
為遙遠未來的大計做好功課



Finally I get to go to a wine tour with my love~
Because of work and school, I chose the wine region closest to my home
The beautiful Okanagan region in B.C, Canada.
This is a vacation, but is also an exploration to get to know more about B.C wine, in order to prepare myself for the big plan of life lying in future.

In case you don't know, I am aiming to be not only a sommelier, but also a negociant who brings high quality Canadian wine under the international spotlight (well...before all of us B.C-ers finish all the wine. Apparently we consume much of our wines and there is nothing much left for exports...-_-")

Slowly increasing its sugar content under our cool climate warm sun

這個酒莊區就像天堂一樣
到處都是果園.....但看不到人的蹤影


Naramata (Okanagan) is like a paradise. There are abundance of fresh ripe fruits everywhere.
But not a single trace of human....where did they all go?

Surrounded with flowers and fruits just like the rest of Naramata~

來到了非常喜歡的B.C 酒莊之一的KETTLE VALLEY
這麼響亮的名字原來酒莊是一家屋的後院
而釀酒工場是屋的車房!


One of my favorite B.C winery - Kettle Valley winery. It is a big name in B.C!!!
Can't imagine the vineyard is the backyard of some suburb house which the garage itself is the winery!

繼續在酒裝區散步, 酒莊路邊(非果園內!)竟然有桃樹
讓到訪的遊客摘來吃
香甜多汁到一個地步
亞洲的溫室經基因改做的白桃也比不上


Continue to walk around in the area. There are fruit trees on the side of the road as if they are meant for visitors (Nope they are not in the orchard!). The peaches there are so fresh and super juicy, even those from Asian countries couldn't compare.

來到了一家名字和酒的質素一樣吸引的釀酒廠

We visited a winery with an interesting name and with exception quality wines

Although the quality is great, it is nevertheless a small scale winery

晚餐在HILLSIDE WINERY BISTRO
想不到這個地方也有FINE DINNING 級數的味道
在哪個地方吃那個地方種出來的食材
再配他們自家的酒
我覺得這種機會對現代人來說是很珍貴的經驗


Dinner at Hillside Winery Bistro. They use fresh ingredient from their farm and produce fine dinning quality entrees. I think it is a valuable experience for ppl like us from the city, to enjoy food and wine at the location where they are grown and produced.

酒莊遊最後一天去了OKANAGAN區出名的MISSION HILL WINERY ESTATE


The last day of the tour we went to one of the most famous winery of the region~ Mission Hill winery estate

午餐在他們的TERRACE RESTAURANT, 是世界TOP 5 的酒莊餐廳
一邊享用美食和美酒, 一邊享受著MISSION HILL 的OKANAGAN湖美景


We had lunch at the Terrace Restaurant of Mission Hill, which was noted as one of the Top 5 winery restaurant in the world. It is a pleasure to enjoy good food and wine while having the beautiful scene of Okanagan lake in sight.

MISSION HILL的酒皇~OCULUS. 是以BORDEAUX作為靈感的
BLENDED WINE.
很POWERFUL的一支酒
愛人非常喜歡呢!


Bordeaux inspired Oculus is the best of what Mission Hill offered. It is powerful, yet smooth. I especially liked how it was so smooth when you first sip in with dark fruits flavour, then a very powerful lingering finish of dark chocolate. It is an elegant, complex red wine that my gf adored with her flat iron steak.
