９月最後の土曜日なのですが・・猛暑の日々は終わったはずなのですが・・今日も暑いのです

NHKのニュースを副音声で聞いていましたが、最後の締めの文章がうまく聞き取れずショックでした。
私たちは長いこと学校で英語を学びましたが、発音に関しては曖昧なままでした。様々な状況や、違った背景での聞き取りはこれからの課題です。
When I tried to listen the NHK English news, I couldn’t catch the phrase of how the news was concluded. We senior citizens have been learning English for a longtime, but we didn’t have enough opportunities to enhance our listening skills. Improving our listening skills is our mission.

We noticed some people wearing fan-cooled workwear outside this summer.
These clothes have built-in electric fans which draw in air and dry off sweat.
This idea came from uchimizu, which is the Japanese tradition of sprinkling water on the road to make them cooler.
They were invented by the Japanese company Sefuto Laboratory.
This invention may have an important role to save electricity and slow down the effects of global warming.
２０１１年、オスのセキセイインコを飼い始めました。名前はカピタン。今年の５月５日に１３年の生涯を閉じました。人間に例えると１００歳！とても賢く、たくさんおしゃべりができて、家族をとても楽しませてくれました。家族に愛されたカピタンはとても幸せだったと思います。
We got a male parakeet in 2011, and named him Kapitan. Unfortunately, he passed away on May 5th this year.
He had lived for 13 years which is equivalent to a person of 100 years old.
He was so smart and he entertained us by saying a lot of phrases.
Kapitan was much loved and we believe he was the happiest parakeet in the world!

I visited Fokkaido Universty in Sapporo. It is becoming a very popular tourist destination these days. The statue of Dr.Clark, wine laboratory, forest, café with tasty lunch menu and museum are in this area,
In museum, we can see important academic materials, fossil of dinosaur, the model of Mammoth and polar bear. And an unique and chaotic student dormitory remains us the era of student riot. Hokkaido University is worth visiting!
