１丸の内-昔と今
最近、東京丸の内の三菱1号館を訪れた。かっては大名屋敷が並んでいたこの地域を明治維新後、岩崎彌之助（岩崎彌太郎の弟）率いる三菱社が入手。広大な一帯は人々に「三菱ヶ原」と呼ばれていた。その後、同社は次々と近代洋館を建設、貸出して、不動産業を展開し、今日の丸の内への発展のもとを開いた。これらのことに思いを巡らすと感慨深い。
今年7月から、発行される紙幣の図案が一新される。新1万円札には近代日本経済の父」と呼ばれる渋沢栄一の肖像が描かれる。岩崎彌太郎も同時代に並び立って活躍したのだ…
１Marunouchi--Then and Now
I recently visited Mitsubishi Ichigokan in Marunouchi, Tokyo. PFAS（有機フッ素化合物の総称）は、４７００種以上あり、フライパンのコーティングや衣服の撥水加工、泡消火剤等に使用されている。自然界ではほぼ分解されない。環境中や人体に長く残るため永遠の化学物質と言われている。問題は, PFASが、工場排水となり、あるいは米軍基地等で漏出して土壌を汚染し、地下水や河川水に入り込み、飲み水として人が摂取する可能性がある。このため、地域住民の懸念が高まっている。最近、健康への影響に関する調査を開始すると政府筋が発表した。
２PFAS

３矢部太郎さん
芸人で漫画家。芸人（コンビ）としては「カラテカ」。矢部さんは、ユニークな、世俗にとらわれない存在だ。彼の漫画、ヒット作「大家さんと僕」は、以前に買って読んだ。つい最近は、新聞の書評欄で知ったのだが、養老孟子氏が、矢部さんのコミックエッセイ「プレゼントでできている」について、「マンガの雰囲気がいい。これを受けいれられるような気分が、メンタルにもよいのです。」とコメントしている。早速買って読んでいるところです。
３Taro Yabe.
He is a comedian and a comic artist. As a comedian (duo), they name "Karateka". Mr. Yabe is unique and a bit out of the world. I once bought his manga books, the hit “Oya-san and Boku.” Just recently, I learned in a newspaper book review column written by Takeshi Yoro, a Japanese anatomist and writer.
