I happened to come across three comics by Osamu Tezuka at a bookstore and bought them. The title is "Buddha". My first encounter with Tezuka's manga was "Hinotori" in the dentist's waiting room when I was second grade elementary school student. After that, I enjoyed "Black Jack". But "Buddha" is new to me!  I'm curious about the contents of the book.

Tetsuya Takeda is a singer and actor. His mother is famous for "The Ballad Dedicated to My Mother," but nothing is known about his father. He was a military man, and his favorite phrase was ``Japan's military is the best in the world!'' After the war, he was haunted by the trauma of the war, addicted to alcohol, and yelled at his family every day. Mr. Takeda disliked his father, and it may have been a reaction to his father that he turned to Western music, dramas, and movies. This is a story about his father that has not been talked about for a long time.

There are over 400 Mt. Fuji = 〇〇 Fuji in Japan. Japanese people have a long history of worshiping Mt. Fuji, and if there was a mountain similar in shape to Mt. Fuji in their hometown, they would name it 〇〇Fuji and worship it instead of the real Mt. Fuji. Sengen Shrine is enshrined at the summit, and on the mountain trail, they divide it into 10 stations. 1st to 10th stations are based on the Buddhist worldview (1st station = Hell, 2nd station = Gaki, 10th station = Paradise). The mixture of Shinto and Buddhism can also be seen here.

LINE is said to be the representative SNS. At the first time this service was created as a photo sharing app. But after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, it turned into a messaging tool that brings family, friends, and other people around you together. Since then, with the birth of stamps the number of users has exploded, especially among young women. Further more, the convenience of notifying people that messages have been read has also won people's hearts. And now new functions are still being added. Why  LINE is free to use?  Because they gain the huge amount of advertising revenue and stamp sales revenue.

The next session will be held on January 13th from 3pm. It's cold every day. Everyone, please be careful not to catch a cold.
