I first enconutered Curtis Fuller's music on TV CM without knowing what Jazz was about. After all those years, I still remember the thrill I got back then when "Five Spot after Dark" is on the air. Wondering which one to spin next. R.I.P. Boss of the Soul-Stream Trombone...

確か高校生くらいの時CMで使われてたカーティス・フラーの音楽。まだジャズやら知らん時。あれから何年経っても、ゴルソン作「ファイブ・スポット~」聴くとあの時の感じを思い出す。次はどれを回そうか、、ソウルフルなトロンボーン大魔王、合掌。
