In Japan, many companies’ fiscal year is from April to March, because the government’s fiscal year is from April to March and many companies follow the government. Therefore, yesterday, April 1st was the first day in the 2011 fiscal year.
Yesterday some freshmen joined our division, in addition many people were assigned new positions. Therefore my office’s atmosphere was very fresh. I did not change positions, but I felt energy from the freshmen and newcomers, so I thought that I would be tenacious and should keep going to the end in my tasks. 21 years ago in April 1990, I was a freshman. I expected to become a global business person. Because I joined a trading company and I thought that I would work with foreign countries. But until now I have worked only domestic business, so one of the dreams has shattered. On the other hand I accomplished other dreams such as becoming a subsidiary’s CEO in 2004 and turned around the company in 2007.
Now I have a dream. I will become an overseas subsidiary’s CEO by 2016 because my experience as the CEO was the biggest accomplishment for me. I wish to be a CEO again and I want to make the best experience in my business career again.
