1. What is difference of the educational background?
Do you know about difference of the educational background? If you go to a highly respected school, it will be said you are a great person and your life will be steady, because you will be able to get a good job and gain much money. However you go to a low level school or you cannot go to school, it will be said you are not a good person and your life will be hard, because you will have difficulty in find a job and struggle to earn money. We think that there is prejudice related to the difference of a person’s educational background is the difference of the educational background. Difference of the educational background affects your life for a long time.
2. Why does this prejudice exist?
In Japan, why does everyone think that person’s educational background is important? And why are there differences of the person’s educational background? This is because there are differences of the education line for children. For example, there are two people; one goes to college and the other to vocational school or working. That case will be happen. Let’s see another case. In the present age, most of people are go to college but a lot of colleges are ranked by their history and achievements. Needless to say, good college has a long history, good person and achievements. That means the student who graduated from good college is very good person. That is why only students who graduated famous college can get good jobs at major companies. Therefore there are good person in good company. That negative chain has not finished. So person’s educational background is not lapse.
3. The effects of this type of prejudice
Academic background brings job hunting and future income for us. First many company condition that graduate from high school or technical college when they decide new employee. And universities are distinction from the world. For example national university, Keio University, Waseda University is the better school. Many companies decide target school. It is not necessarily achievement but universities education.
Second, academic background influences on income. First incomes are difference from school grade. As it is gradually understand individual power, it is not have income to do with academic background.
There are two points to influence academic background.
4. How the problem can be solved
The education that a child is received is different from difference in income of the parent. It is necessary for us to call for equality in employment in order to solve this problem. But this is very difficult to do. So I think that the government can introduce a system to give scholarships to poor students without interest. And, I think that it will become easy for children to receive equal education. In this way, every single person must think about difference in educational background in the future too.
