The shinigami are taking over.

Yeah, I was watching Death Note again this morning.

In case you didn't know or in case you don't watch Death Note, I'd be happy to tell you what shinigami are.

Shinigami are death gods. When they put the names of someone in their Death Note they extend their own lives to survive (opposite of humans who shorten their lives by putting names in their Death Note). If you don't pay attention to a Shinigami there are these wierd side effects and they get all tied and tangled up with an arm in the air hopping on one leg. Oh yeah, death gods love apples. For some reason Kira (Light Yagami) gives apples to Ryuk (the shinigami who always follows him all the time).

Death Note is a freakin awesome anime.

There's also Rem, the shinigami who follows Misa.

Misa is supposedly THE OTHER KIRA.

She has shinigami eyes.

Shinigami eyes gain 3.6 20/10 vision. The remaining life span is cut in half to obtain the vision. Light Yagami made a complicated math equation to solve this problem in human terms.

I know, I learned that much in the eleventh episode after watching it this morning on TV.
